CINECHICO. Sólo cortos en español y mudos. // Only shorts in Spanish and silent.

CINECHICO es un festival de cortometrajes en español o mudos que permitan su visionado sin necesidad de traducción. Su principal propósito es educativo, abriendo ventanas sobre las diferentes realidades de quienes compartimos un mismo idioma. Por ello su público serán escolares de Primaria entre 6 y 12 años de diferentes pueblos y ciudades de la provincia española de Málaga (España).

El festival recorrerá esas localidades de febrero a abril de 2019, concluyendo en mayo en la capital. Aunque consideraremos cualquier película inscrita, BUSCAMOS CORTOMETRAJES YA PREMIADOS EN OTROS FESTIVALES DEL MUNDO (en cualquier categoría), que comuniquen valores positivos y con una duración entre 1 y 10 minutos. Todas las películas competirán en igualdad de condiciones, si bien se otorgará un premio especial al mejor cortometraje realizado por escolares.

En cuanto a nuestra estructura, ofreceremos sesiones de 90 minutos que incluirán varias películas. Cada uno de estos cortos será presentado individualmente y tras su proyección será objeto de un pequeño cinefórum sobre el mismo. Esto facilitará la votación que realizarán las niñas y niños, depositando sus votos (verde, amarillo o rojo) en cajas con el cartel de cada película. De esa suma de votos saldrá el premio del público. Es preciso señalar también que ofreceremos dos programas diferentes: uno para escolares de 6 a 9 años y otro para alumnado de 10 a 12.

Apartes del premio del público se otorgarán otros varios galardones. Votarán para ello estudiantes universitarios (Magisterio, Pedagogía y Ciencias de la Comunicación de la Universidad de Málaga), profesionales de la enseñanza (maestras y maestros), del sector audiovisual (cine, tele, video, comic y foto) así como agentes culturales de reconocido prestigio, tanto nacionales como internacionales.

La organización del Festival corre a cargo de Minichaplin (www.minichaplin.com), iniciativa itinerante de alfabetización mediática dependiente de la Asociación Miroy, una entidad sin ánimo de lucro reconocida como tal por el gobierno regional andaluz. En esta primera edición CINECHICO cuenta con el patrocinio de La Térmica, centro de cultura contemporánea dependiente de la Diputación Provincial de Málaga y con el apoyo de los ayuntamientos de Alhaurín El Grande, Cártama, Estepona, Fuengirola, Marbella, Mijas, Nerja y Vélez Málaga.

CINECHICO is a festival of short films in Spanish or silent that allow its viewing without the need for translation. Its main purpose is educational, opening windows on the different realities of those who share the same language. Therefore, its public will be primary school children between 6 and 12 years of different towns and cities of the Spanish province of Malaga (Spain).

The festival will tour these locations from February to April 2019, ending in May in the capital. Although we will consider any registered film, WE ARE LOOKING FOR SHORT FILMS ALREADY AWARDED IN OTHER FESTIVALS OF THE WORLD (in any category), that communicate positive values ​​and with a duration between 1 and 10 minutes. All films will compete under equal conditions, although a special prize will be awarded to the best short film made by schoolchildren.

As for our structure, we will offer 90-minute sessions that will include several films. Each one of these shorts will be presented individually and after its screening it will be the object of a small cineforum about it. This will facilitate the vote that the girls and boys will make, depositing their votes (green, yellow or red) in boxes with the poster of each film. The public prize will come out of that sum of votes. It should also be pointed out that we will offer two different programs: one for school children from 6 to 9 years old and the other for students from 10 to 12.

Apart from the public prize will be awarded several other awards. They will vote for university students (Teaching, Pedagogy and Communication Sciences of the University of Malaga), teaching professionals , the audiovisual sector (film, TV, video, comic and photo) as well as cultural agents from recognized prestige national and international.

The Festival organization is run by Minichaplin (www.minichaplin.com), a media literacy itinerant initiative under the Miroy Association, a non-profit organization recognized as such by the Andalusian regional government. In this first edition CINECHICO has the sponsorship of La Térmica, center of contemporary culture dependent on the Provincial Council of Malaga and with the support of the municipalities of Alhaurin El Grande, Cártama, Estepona, Fuengirola, Marbella, Mijas, Nerja and Vélez Málaga .
