We were ecstatic to win Best Screenplay Pilot, however the VPF has been a disappointment. It has been over a week and most of the replies are all form responses and not the promised personal critic. They use verbatim the same words. I had hoped for personal contact as described in the advertisement. Otherwise, Jonathan was exceptional in response and hosting. We will continue to enter their competitions, but with a more realistic view of VPF. Also we have not heard from one pitch and the other took over five days and we have not received new pitches to offset these two. Fingers crossed. Jon and Roxana.

  • Big Apple Film Festival put on a great festival for screenwriters and filmmakers. Jonathan Lipp was a gracious host, and this is a festival that I will return to on my next writing or film project.

For a “first” - I found everything to be well organized, the venue was great, and we were allowed to speak about our scripts (as a finalist in the screenplay competition) to the audience. I am enjoying completing the 5 free pitches via VIRTUALPITCHFEST.COM the i was awarded as a finalist. I think this festival will continue to grow and be a great platform for filmmakers and writers. Staff was very responsive and helpful with coordination. Great first “run!” Thank you!
