We strongly encourage filmmakers to submit their film only after it is fully finished and will judge each submission as a completed work, whether it is or not. Once a film is entered, we will not update the submission with a more recent cut. That said, because GIFF’s focus is on story, minor technical changes will not affect the final decision of any film. Should the film be accepted to play during the Festival, the filmmaker will have the opportunity to supply the Festival with their most recent version.

Please do not send original material or masters for preview or screening.

The Global Indie Film Fest will not return preview or screening tapes.

The Global Indie Film Fest will screen films from hi res digital upload (.mov or .mp4).

No other formats are accepted.

If the project is accepted as a student entry they will have to provide evidence of student enrolment at time of film completion.

We confirm that you have granted The Global Indie Film Fest the right to publicly exhibit your film and that The Global Indie Film Fest will take all care but no responsibility for your film whilst in the possession of the Festival. We also confirm that if accepted into the festival you grant The Global Indie Film Fest the right to publicly promote your film in all festival promotional materials, as appropriate. You also confirm that all necessary permissions have been obtained to enter this film in the Festival and that the film does not infringe the rights including copyright of any third party.

All selected nominees will be invited to our live screenings for the opportunity to meet people from the same industry.

  • I've come to know that this festival leader is serious about his professionalism and not afraid to defend it. He treats all his selections with a very immediate personal touch which is amazing and refreshing. No matter where you're at with the Jury, this festival will get you seen! I applaud your integrity. Definitely won me over, which is no easy task.

    Response from festival:

I apologize if your experience wasn't everything you expected or everything that we had hoped it would be for you. The screenings have only just started. But the best part of the festival has yet to come. When the films have finished screening they will be removed but the trailers and information will remain viewable.

The films will then be submitted to the TV network for selection. If they are selected you will be contacted by the TV production company for you to agree for transmission across the USA. It will be entirely up to the owners of the film to make the dissension to screen. The TV show will reach over 50 million broadcast television households throughout the United States through syndication and can also be viewed on OTT platforms.

Cities where the series can be seen include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Forth Worth, San Francisco and Atlanta plus many more.
