401 Film Fest is aimed at discovering new, local, independent filmmakers. Our showcases will be accepting films from all over the world, but with at least 50% Rhode Island submission acceptance. The event is completely free to attend, which is no wonder why most of our screenings have reached venue capacity!

Entering the 401 Film Fest is not onlt a great opportunity for true independent artists to have their work seen but also a chance to win a cash prize. The outsider submission fee helps pay for event expenses (auditorium, projector, permits, prizes), and all money raised after that (yes, 100%) is raised for our charity of choice, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State. Best luck!

We will be accepting submissions for the "3rd Annual 401 Film Fest", starting on January 1st, 2017 - July 31, 2017. It is free for Rhode Island, Massachusetts & Connecticut filmmakers to submit to, and a mere $5 for anybody outside of the region.

We are proud to say that in our 2 years up and running, we have raised over $3,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State and brought much needed awareness to our local and international TRULY independent filmmakers.

One of my favorite film festivals run by amazing people. New England, and Rhode Island especially, is such a great destination for film makers - so much so that I'd go every year if I could.

There's always a good selection of films, great crowd, and I really enjoyed the interaction between fellow filmmakers and the audience throughout. There were numerous opportunities for networking at all levels. You can tell that there is a real passion for community here. Love'd it!

We had a great time at the 401 Film Fest! The audience was fantastic and really responded to the films that screened. Adam, the festival director, is great guy, and he organizes this whole event to raise money for a charity he really believes in, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the Ocean State. The festival celebrates true indie films, with an emphasis on local (in and around Rhode Island), but showcased some great stuff from around the world. The submission fees are inexpensive and it's free for the audience to attend. They raise all the money through raffles and donations. So you can be sure that you'll have a packed house for your film to screen in front of!

We had a fantastic time at the 401 Fest. It's a great venue to connect (or reconnect) with local filmmakers, and to see projects all over the short-form spectrum. The festival is clearly a labor of love for Adam, and supports a fantastic cause in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. We're hoping to be back next year!

401 Film Fest is a very special festival. For two years, Adam has been organizing this event that not only showcases local talent, but supports a very noble, local cause. It's clear that Adam genuinely cares about his home state, as proven through the countless hours he puts into the festival. God bless this festival and God bless Lil Rhody!

The 401 Film Fest is a great venue for independent filmmakers, particularly local filmmakers. Its mission is for a great cause while also showcasing the talents of filmmakers both young and experienced. There are few festivals quite like this where it's not about the accolades, but about the experience and fun of seeing wonderful films.
