  • I would like to start by thanking the judging committee for awarding our film, Triggered 2.0, the Best Fan Fiction award. It was truly an honor to see our film among so many great projects. Let me also say, as one who has enjoyed being a part of many festivals over the years, this one truly stood out. It has been rare that a festival awards is winners before the live event, and then showcases the winners' work. I believe this to be a very gracious and respectful way to honor the winners, and as one who has also been to festivals where our film wasn't a winner, it honestly is simply nice to know that your work will be recognized. Your team did an amazing job in planning and executing a fun experience for everyone in attendance, and I would be honored to be a judge for next year's awards. Congratulations to everyone who was honored and considered, and thank you again for putting together such a great experience for independent filmmakers.
