MIRADA CORTA Short Film Festival

RULES

By submitting a film to MIRADA CORTA, the submitter automatically accepts all the rules stated below.

The person responsible for the film submission to our competition must possess the film rights and have the authorization from the film's author for its projection and use. The relationship between the festival is exclusive to the film's submitter to the competition.

The submitter must enter their project in one of the main competitions: VOCES DEL MUNDO, OPERA PRIMA, VOCES MEXICANAS, ANIMANIA, DOCS, OTRA MIRADA, STUDENT LAB, HORROR NIGHTS. Submitters must fill in the names of the corresponding artists for each category.

The MEXICAN VOICES competition only accepts films from Mexican filmmakers. Partner productions will be accepted as long as one of the parties represents Mexico.

The decision regarding the official selection of films in competition, as well as the assigned awards, is final and unappealable. Our programming team and jury will make their selections independently.

All films must have English subtitles to be evaluated by our programming team. All foreign language films (non-Spanish) selected to be screened during the festival must have subtitles in Spanish and English.

The required format for film exhibition is DCP. The submitter is responsible for providing a copy in HD. Physical copies will not be returned by the festival.

The maximum duration should not exceed 35 minutes.

Students benefiting from the relevant discount must present identification from their affiliated institution.

By participating in this competition, the submitter authorizes MIRADA CORTA organization to use press materials, posters, catalogs, promotional and distribution materials, as well as the exhibition of the film at the specified location and dates.

VISIONES UNICAS is a parallel competition that will take place through an online platform. The programming team selects a selection of projects that will be invited to participate in this competition. Invited films must accept or decline the online screening of the film on the indicated dates. All participating films in the online competition will be eligible to compete for a prize of USD 1000.

MIRADA CORTA reserves the right to disqualify any project whose content is deemed inappropriate. MIRADA CORTA will not tolerate films that promote any form of racism or discrimination.

When submitting your film, you are consenting to our Privacy Policy. We are committed to respecting each filmmaker's preferences. We might contact you through your email or social media provided in the submission page to communicate updates on your submission status, screening and DCP requirements, events ticket confirmation, as well as to provide information about events, services, promotions that we think you might be interested in. REGLAMENTO

Al suscribir un film en MIRADA CORTA, el suscriptor acepta automáticamente todas las reglas expuestas a continuación.

El responsable de la inscripción del film en nuestra competencia debe poseer los derechos del film y contar con los derechos del autor del film para su proyección y utilización. La relación entre el festival es exclusiva con el suscriptor del film a la competencia.

El suscriptor deberá inscribir su proyecto en una de las competencias principales: Voces Internacionales, Ópera Prima, Voces Mexicanas, Animania, Docs, Otra Mirada, Student Lab, Horror Nights. Los suscriptores deberán completar los nombres de los artistas correspondientes a cada categoría.

La competición de Voces Mexicanas acepta solamente filmes de realizadores mexicanos. Las coproducciones serán aceptadas siempre que una de las partes represente a México.

La decisión sobre la selección oficial de films en competición, al igual que los premios asignados, es final e inapelable. Nuestro equipo de programación y jurado realizará sus elecciones de forma independiente.

Todos los films deben contar con subtítulos en inglés para ser evaluados por nuestro equipo de programación. Todos los films de lengua extranjera (no español) seleccionados para ser exhibidos durante el festival deberán contar con subtítulos en español e inglés.

El formato requerido para la exhibición del film es DCP. El suscriptor es responsable de presentar una copia en HD. Las copias físicas no serán devueltas por parte del festival.

El tiempo máximo de duración no debe exceder los 35 minutos.

Los estudiantes que se beneficien del descuento pertinente deberán presentar una identificación de la institución a la cual pertenecen.

Al participar en esta competición, el suscriptor autoriza a la organización de MIRADA CORTA a utilizar el material de prensa, posters, catálogos y material promocional y de distribución, al igual que la exhibición del film en el lugar y las fechas indicadas.

Visiones Únicas es una competencia paralela que se llevará a cabo a través de una plataforma online. El equipo de programación elige una selección de proyectos que serán invitados a participar de esta competencia. Los films invitados a participar deberán aceptar o no la proyección del film de manera online en las fechas indicadas. Todos los films participantes de la competición online serán elegibles para concursar por un premio de USD 1000.

MIRADA CORTA se reserva el derecho de descalificar cualquier proyecto cuyo contenido considere inapropiado. MIRADA CORTA no tolerará filmes que fomenten cualquier tipo de racismo o forma de discriminación.
