*HALLOWEEN HORROR CHALLENGE IS NOW LIVE!*

After TWO INCREDIBLE online rounds, QIFF will be having it's very first LIVE PUBLIC EVENT!

9:00 pm on October 30th, 2020, QIFF presents "The Halloween Horror Challenge" with a LIVE PREMIERE at The Globe Cinema in Calgary, AB!

Same rules as always, but with a fun twist.

NO GEAR? NO PROBLEM!
QIFF 2020- An ONLINE international film festival dedicated to you and your spare time during the COVID-19 Pandemic!

*Our rules are simple, but we ask people to take into consideration the events unfolding around them, and to obey all city and country bylaws and precautions. If it is recommended in your area to be isolated, film something at home with your smartphone or a webcam. If your area isn’t under these conditions, then make it with a few friends. Safety is key though, and we will be judging each submission based on how creative they were given their circumstances (So don’t worry about gathering a crew).*

Feel Free to email us with any questions.

The top 10 short films from around the globe will be selected to be screened at the live event at the Globe on October 30th, and then uploaded to the QIFF Youtube Channel and promoted on social media. This is a "for fun" festival, with a small prize, as a way to help people feel creatively fulfilled during the isolation caused by COVID-19.

Selected films and filmmakers will receive:
-Our official selection Laurel
-Promotion on all of the QIFF Social media Pages (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
-Screened as a part of the festival at the Globe Cinema on October 30th, 2020
-Uploaded onto our Youtube Channel on October 31st and added to our playlist

AWARDS:

BEST OF THE FEST- $100 (CAD) plus a one-year subscription to Shudder

Have fun, and create! That's what is most Important!

  • This is a very cool festival which brought a lot of people together who likely never would've been together otherwise. It gave a lot people some purpose in a very difficult time, and I'm honored to have had my films selected.
