Bi-monthly qualification:

PLIFF has a yearly structure, but with bi-monthly qualification system. At PLIFF we think that this structure is most effective, because you don't need to wait for months to get notified about your selection, and next changes of your status. Your journey at PLIFF feel's dynamic and effective. Every two month our participants are competing for monthly awards, and a place at the annual event.

Every officially selected work receives our unique golden laurels and their own film-page on our website. All monthly winners and honorable mentions receive our unique golden laurels, special digital certificate, promotional program on our social medias, an opportunity to join the annual program, and possibility to order our special "Portuguese Lemur Trophy".

Every two month we're selecting 6 most powerful works with huge potential, from all winners, that are joining our annual event in Lisbon, Portugal. Annual Event will include 36 positions.

Annual Event

Portuguese Lemur International Film Festival will celebrate an annual event every year in month of April in Lisbon, Portugal. Our annual program will include 36 best works, that passed monthly qualifications, and became monthly winners in any categories. PLIFF will award best works in 10 main categories with a PLIFF Trophy, and a cash prize that will go the audience choice.

Ancient Romans held celebrations in honor of lemurs for 3 days thinking that spirits of the past where reborn as lemurs just like cinema is reborn of spirit of the creator in the viewers body.

^ We accept films of all genres, and lengths.
^ Completion Date after January 2017.
^ All Non-English entries must be subtitled in English.
^ PLIFF can use trailer/teaser/film poster/stills or BTS for promotional purpose (but do not release, under any form or circumstances, the full film).
^ Entry fees are non-refundable. 
^ The submitter owns all the rights to the film. 
^ The submitter cannot withdraw the submission after the official selection or "not selected" announcement. 
^ PLIFF winners that will go into yearly program must send copy of the film without subtitles and .srt. file with English subtitles within 2 weeks from official announcement.
