Ibrida Festival of Intermedia Arts showcases cutting-edge works at the intersection of video art, experimental cinema, live performance, electronic sound, XR environments and AI-driven moving images.

Curated by Vertov Project and directed by Francesca Leoni & Davide Mastrangelo, the 2026 edition will take place in September 2026 in Forlì, Italy.

Ibrida 2026 explores Hyper Reality, the zone where physical perception and digital augmentation merge into a single expanded dimension. We welcome works that engage with synthetic vision, post-physical bodies, immersive or hybrid environments, and the shifting instability of the real.

Accepted formats: .mp4 / .mov (H.264 or ProRes)
Minimum resolution: 1080p
Works not in English or Italian must include English subtitles
Installation and multi-channel works must include a tech rider + setup diagram

🔍 Selection Process
All submissions are evaluated by the artistic direction and programming team.
The festival may place works in the most appropriate section based on curatorial coherence.

    An exceptional festival that, in just a few years, has become a true point of reference for video art and intermedia practices — not only in the Italian scene but also internationally.
    The curatorial vision, the attention to artists, and the quality of the program make Ibrida a unique space of encounter and experimentation.
    This year I had the chance to attend in person, and it was an inspiring and beautifully organized experience.
    I truly hope to be back soon — highly recommended to all artists working with moving images and hybrid forms.
