With the rise of so many new creative forefronts, we decided to combine filmmakers, content creators, artists, and action sports athletes, for the first time on the big screen!
The 2019 OURS Film Festival presented by As Detroits Own puts emphasis on the word FESTIVAL. The interior of the beautiful Senate theatre will be transformed to host an art exhibit featuring some of the most talented Michigan artists.
The exterior yard of the Senate will also see transformation in the form of a halfpipe with high flying skateboarders, BMX riders, and even scooters! ( Halfpipe provided by Modern Skate & Surf Royal Oak )
Attendees can explore the inside of the this beautiful theatre before the premiere event- THE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL. We will be screening films submitted by filmmakers, Youtubers, and content creators alike.
The short films will be curated from winning submissions with one of them receiving a $500 GRAND PRIZE. Filmmakers can submit their creations here-
