International Thai Film Festival a.k.a. ITFF is an internationally recognized film industry event and registered international (IMDb qualifying) film festival of Thailand. The event of ITFF is a film screening event and film entertainment industry expo, founded by S.E.G. Alongside screenings of a wide variety of films (Official Selection), there are Panel Talks session, networking opportunities and the ITFF Award Ceremony.

ITFF Competition is a film, animation and video competition for industry professionals and amateurs alike, who are passionate about filmmaking and wish to screen their work and compete for ITFF Awards to gain a wider recognition and reputation in the industry. Entrants have a chance to win a trophy and prizes at ITFF. The selection of productions is executed by the ITFF Judging Board that includes established Thai film and entertainment industry professionals and guest judges from major studios (USA, France, China, South Korea and Australia). With their extensive industry experience and knowledge, each project submitted to ITFF Competition is viewed and studied closely, awarding creativity and the execution of their story regardless of the budget of their production. ITFF is awarding creativity, talent and the best short films, feature films, animations, music video productions and artists. ITFF is welcoming local and international productions from anywhere in the world. Regardless the budget of your production or experience you may have, tell your story and engage the audience with your visuals. Show us what you can do! ITFF Film and Video competition is open to productions in all genres and all styles. Main submission categories include short film, animation, feature film, video and music video. Your film or video may originate from anywhere in the world! Any nationalities and any production can enter International Categories.

To enter Thai categories, your film or video must be a Thai production, produced in Thailand and the producer(s) and the director(s) of your production must be Thai citizens.

The official language of ITFF is English. All non-English language entries must have English subtitles. (Except for music videos)

We would like to have Thailand premieres, but it is not a requirement. Productions submitted to the Festival must have been completed after January 1, 2020. Works-In-Progress are not considered. Productions that are nominated at previous editions of ITFF are not considered.

All genres of production are welcome (For example: comedy, drama, action, sci-fi, documentary, thriller, horror, art projects, etc...), except pornographic content. Over-sexualized contents are not allowed. You may have used any of the execution techniques (For example: film, animation - traditional or computer generated 2D or 3D) to execute your production.

You may submit multiple productions and can apply in as many categories as like as long as your production meets the criteria of the selected category you wish to submit to. Each submission will be considered and charged separately.

All entered films and videos must be the original work of the author or authors. Multiple authorship is allowed. ITFF and its organizers shall not be responsible directly or indirectly for any liability arising from any violation of any copyright laws.

ITFF is granted the right to use the submitted films and film stills for promotional purposes on the internet, television and other media, an excerpt of maximum 10% of the length of each submitted film may be used for that purpose. Please note that we will not in any way upload nor release your film or video online, with the exception of a poster and/or a trailer of your production.

[In other words: The Rights of your production remain with you and/ or the original right-holder(s) of the production. We only require the rights to screen your production during the Event. We only upload the trailer of your production (if you have provided one to us), the poster of your production and we may excerpt 10% of your production for promotional purposes.]

ITFF does not consider films that require screening or rental fees.

​The festival does not accept any free entries, nor do we hand out fee waivers.

Entry Fees are non-refundable.

Your production entry cannot be withdrawn from the competition after 1st of July 2023.

The decisions of our judges are final and will not be reconsidered by any means.

All films and video productions submitted that are meeting our requirements are eligible for nomination for ITFF Film and Entertainment Industry Awards.

Note: In a case of an emergency (e.g.: spread of COVID-19) or a natural disaster or any unexpected event that could cause health or safety concerns, we reserve the right to postpone, modify or cancel the live cinema event of ITFF2023 and/or then hold the event online. If such circumstances appear; we will contact the creators/representatives of the selected productions (Official Selection) by email (in early August 2023) regarding online screening possibilities. Then also the awards, trophies and prices will be send/posted to the winners. However, we are confident in and well-prepared that the live cinema event will be held as usual, scheduled in the middle of September 2023, in Bangkok, Thailand.
