"Scared for your LIIFE" is a return from the grave branch of the Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) specializing in the macabre world of Horror short films. "Scared for your LIIFE" is a collaborative effort between The Long Island Film/ Television Foundation (LIFTF) & The Huntsville Cryptcast.

Although "Scared for your LIIFE" has been around 2 years prior, last year was our first ever year as a competitive festival!

Now we're back for revenge! Join us for year 4, where the stakes are higher and the submissions scarier!

***Ladies & Gentlemen, Creeps & Weirdos - Due to the lasting effects of the covid 19 pandemic we will be unable to host this event live and in person as planned at the Long Island Puppet Theater. We have decided for the safety and benefit of everyone that this year we will be hosting the festival as an ONLINE event. Fear not! (Ok, fear a little bit just cause we like it when you're scared) We will ensure that Scared for your Liife is an EXPERIENCE worth being a part of more than just an online screening! We will try and maintain as much as we had planned with a bit of flair! Be there, or be scared!

I loved Scared for your LIIFE! I had heard such wonderful things about the 2019 festival.
Although it was virtual this year, the team did a wonderful job brining the festival online.
I was so thrilled to be part of a festival where horror shorts have a place to shine!
    Thank you to all involved.

I am incredibly grateful that my film made it into this festival! Unfortunately, I was unable to attend, but the communication and process was awesome. You can tell that the Scared for Your Liife team is passionate and incredibly knowledgable when it comes to the horror genre, how do I know? Check out their awesome podcast, Hauntsville Cryptcast! It's inspiring and so much fun to follow!

Scared For Your LIIFE was SO much fun! The hosts ran a great festival, and the Puppet Theater was an awesome venue for a horror fest. They also have one of the coolest award trophies I've ever seen!
The screening theater was completely packed with fans and filmmakers, the waiting area was a great spot to meet and mingle with everyone who attended, and the puppets in the theater have such cool stories to go with them (just ask owner Anthony!)
We've been a part of the Long Island IFF horror block the last couple of years and enjoyed it, but this fest was far above what they have screened in the past! Not disparaging them at all, but many of their selected horror films tend to lean towards more the dramatic than the horrific. Not this time at all! There was a good mix of straight horror, some comedic, some dramatic, some off-the-wall, some big productions, low budget minimal productions, and everything in between..
The past couple of years, NY/LI has been missing it's premiere Indie Horror festival.. Scared For Your LIIFE has the opportunity to fill that void, and I really hope they grow to multiple days.
See you all next year, for sure!

I can't thank this festival enough for playing my short "Vocal Cord." Though I wasn't able to attend, the festival runners were amazing, and I plan to submit again and hope to attend next time!

This is an outstanding film festival. Their dedicated team is truly passionate about world cinema and I highly recommend submitting to this festival. They are true professionals and will give your project it’s undivided attention regardless of how many submissions they receive. I can honestly say that alone is worth it’s weight in gold. 10 out of 10 stars across the board!!!
