Short+Sweet is the biggest 10 minute performing arts festival in the world with events in 30+ cities across 10 countries. We've been around for 20 years with the first S+S Theatre Festival in Sydney Australia in 2002 and to date have presented over 5,000 original new works in Theatre, Music and Dance. We started presenting Theatre Festivals in New Delhi in 2010 and since then have expanded to Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata plus occasional and touring programs in a host of other cities.

Now the first ever Short+Sweet Film Festival is finally in India with the inaugural program in Chennai. Our Festival Director is Mathivanan Rajendran, the multi-talented and award winning director, writer, actor and Artistic Director of Stray Factory.

Short+Sweet is not your average short film festival. Local winners will get the chance to have their film screened at the Worldwide Short+Sweet Gala Final to be held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on August 25. It’s 'invitation only and composed of winning films from the (growing) number of separate S+S Film Festivals from around the world. In 2017 that includes Sydney, Chennai, Melbourne, Mexico City, Manila and Los Angeles. By 2018 it will also include Brisbane, Canberra, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Singapore, Indianapolis, New Delhi, Bangalore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kolkata.

Our presenting partners in Hollywood and beyond: Stella Adler LA (http://www.stellaadler.la/)

The winning film will be screened in Los Angeles at the Short+Sweet Hollywood Film Festival in August 2017 at the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. There are many other awesome prizes up for grabs including mentorships with working Hollywood industry professional, producers and actors who are Alumni or on the Stella Adler Theater Board.

There are also other local prizes to be won for awards including: Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Play to Film Adaptation, People's Choice, Best Actor & Best Actress.
