Mythea Film Festival is a short film and short screenplay festival, culminating in a screening of the short films before a live audience. Mythea is part of the larger Eleusis Festival, hosted by Frayed Knot Collective. Eleusis is an arts festival where theater, film, and music collide to create unforgettable stories and incomparable experiences. Frayed Knot is a collective of artists passionate about creating accessible, boundary-pushing performance art. We are creators who strive to uplift original stories from individuals from all walks of life.

Both categories in this festival, short film and short screenplay, may submit for the chance to win a cash prize. There will be three finalists selected from each category; the audience will determine the three short film finalists at the screening, where the film with the most audience votes will win a cash prize.

The producing team at Frayed Knot will review all screenplay submissions, and select three finalists; two runner ups, and one winner who will receive the cash prize. The screenplay winner will also win a meeting with the producing team at Frayed Knot to discuss a potential future production with FKC.

Short Film submissions may NOT run over 13 minutes in length. Short Screenplay submissions may NOT run over 15 pages.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is permitted, but MUST be disclosed in either the credits (short film) or on title page (screenplay).

All use of copyrighted material in either category MUST be cleared before submitting to this festival.
