DO NOT RECOMMEND. This is a festival you can skip submitting. We got the notification of selection via film freeway email, but it had no information regarding when, where the festival was going to happen. I checked on the film freeway site and it said the vent was happening the next day. I looked at the the website and it had no updates either.

My film was selected on the event date, so they don't have the material for screening.
    There is no social media.
Not updated website, no program, nothing.
The venue didn't announce it either.

This was a confusing experience. We received notification that our "project has been selected to be included in festival." one day before the festival began. Then, after reaching out to the festival programmers, we were told "Your film was selected to participate in the festival, which means it was nominated for the "Best Documentary" award alongside other documentaries. Only the winning films will be screened after being announced, as it is not possible to screen so many productions participating in the official selection." So Orchid International Queer Itinerant Film Festival ROSARITO appears to be more like a contest than a film festival. I don't think we would have entered our film if we understood this up front.
