The Saturday night will see us showcasing our selection of Homegrown Short Films. The audience will vote for their favourites. The winner will be announced and screened at Sunday’s Gala.
Sleeping Giants Gala – Sunday 2nd July 2017
Sleeping Giants Film Festival closes with this special gala event. We aim to include a 'Homegrown Short' film with a Q & A every year. This year we're pleased to have back last years winner of the short film An Mhallacht/The Curse. They're coming to share their thoughts and experiences with you before announcing the winners of the International Short and Homegrown Short Film competitions as voted for by our audiences followed by a chance to see the films again.
We're also laying on a bit of spread so that you get a chance to talk with film makers and other festival goers. Will then be finishing the event with a live band, downstairs in the bar of The Lough & Quay.
The winning films will receive an award and be invited to next years festival to talk about their up and coming projects.
