Legendary Fest celebrates the filmmakers and screenwriters of independent films of all genres.

We are partnered with companies like Intercut Capital to bring the best opportunities to filmmakers and screenwriters alike.

Our local partner, Film Tucson participates in offering events to filmmakers and screenwriters in attendance. This opportunity allow attending filmmakers and screenwriters to experience the opportunities of making their movies in Tucson for any genres of film.

We're the sister company of HorrOrigins Film Festival in Tucson, AZ which has been rated as a top 100 best reviewed company via FilmFreeway. HorrOrigins main focus is on horror, scif-fi and thriller. Being fans of all genres, we've started a festival to celebrate screenwriters & filmmakers of ALL genres.

We are partnered with Galaxy Theatres in Tucson, AZ to present all films with an amazing experience on a very large screen, amazing concessions and an experience you will not forget.

Screenwriters and filmmakers will get the opportunity to meet and/or pitch to industry professional mentors. Mentors will be assigned to winners. Our mentors from our sister festival HorrOrigins have included:

Awards will be distributed at the festival. If filmmakers and screenwriters can't attend, and they end up winning physical awards they'll be responsible for coordinating shipping and associated costs.

Certificates will be distributed via email.

Networking events with all selected screenwriters and filmmakers.

Sponsored prizes, mentorships and more.

Filmmakers in attendance are taken throughout Tucson to see places like Old Tucson, Tombstone, and other film related locations through our partnership with Film Tucson.

By submitting, you acknowledge that you give Legendary Fest the authorization to utilize any excerpts, images or biographical information of the filmmakers from any film submitted for promotional purposes.

Premieres and attendance are not required but will for considered in the final programming decisions.

Acceptable screening formats for exhibition are:

Legendary Fest does not pay screening fees.

Legendary Fest reserves the rights to disqualify any submission without refund or reason.

Legendary Fest does not allow any refunds.

Screenings & awards ceremony will be scheduled by the Legendary Fest staff.

Any films not in English must be subtitled.

Screenplays must be in English.

Please submit the version of your film or screenplay that you want to be judged, as we do not allow for these to be updated at a later time. If you require an updated (revised) screenplay or film to be viewed, submission fees will apply.

Films & Screenplays are only accepted via online submission platforms. Finalists will be announced during the event. Winning screenplay(s) will be announced at the conclusion of the festival event.

Filmmakers & Screenwriters will acquire one VIP pass---any

Films that have been acquired, produced, financed or distributed by any major motion picture studios or production companies are not eligible for our competitive awards (with exception to our mainstream category) but are eligible for screenings. It is the sole responsibility of the submitting filmmaker to attain all permissions required from the major motion picture studios or production companies prior to submitting and screenings.

Submitting filmmaker/screenwriter has full legal rights to submit film and/or screenplays.

Notifications will be made by social media, email and/or phone.

Legendary Fest does not offer any waivers.

Legendary Fest reserves the right to omit any awards should the festival not receive enough entries for specific categories or if no of the submissions meet the judging standards.

Legendary Fest reserves the rights to give out any additional specialty awards should the judging team feel any of the films/screenplays deserve it.

Certificates will be sent out after the festival. Certificate will be emailed to filmmakers.

Legendary Fest holds the right to change screening venue or platform for any reason but will make notifications should this occur.

Legendary Fest holds the right to change selections at any time due to any reason.

Legendary Fest requests that you do not submit any YouTube or any other public videos (i.e. Vimeo). Doing so could result in immediate disqualification. YouTube videos that are unlisted and not seen by the public are acceptable.

It is the sole responsibility of the submitting screenwriter or filmmaker to secure any authorization and rights for copyrighted materials used within the film.

By submitting, you acknowledge and accept the rules & conditions of Legendary Fest. The submitter also agrees to hold harmless Legendary Fest from any and all claims resulting from my entry.
