Script Shop is an online screenplay showcase that is committed to furthering the work of screenwriters. We select 52 screenplays a year, and schedule weekly interviews with screenwriters to discuss their work and their experiences as a writer. We only accept screenplay submissons; no video submissions at this time.

You can check out episodes of Script Shop here:

By conducting evocative interviews regarding the screenwriter, their background, and the screenplay in question, we are aiming to explore and highlight the experiences that lead writers to create the work we ultimately see on screen.

There are no prizes or awards but all selected screenplays receive one full hour interview regarding their screenplay and social media promotion.

Only screenplays accepted, no fully produced films please.

All scripts will be read on an ongoing basis; there are no deadlines and the deadlines listed here are only FilmFreeway set-up requirements. We do not have a festival but instead review scripts on an ongoing basis and invite them weekly onto the show for an interview. Please visit our website for more information.

In order to be considered, please understand that we:

1. Want to be able to share your screenplay with the online world by posting your script one week ahead of your released interview and maintaining your work in our archives. Please let us know if you need assistance finalizing security rights for your work.

2. Want to have an engaging interview with you that allows us to delve into a myriad of questions about who you are as a performer and an artist, and the choices you have made and currently make in your life that allows you to write. Please be prepared to be open and honest in your interview.

3. Want to promote you as awesomely as we can! You will be asked to send a bio, two promo photos (can be headshot, production, or simply an inspiration photo of your screenplay,) links to online profiles if selected, and a logline of your script.

4. May be producing or working internally or individually on projects that happen to be similar to your screenplay or concept. Living with 7 billion other creatives, this becomes statistically unavoidable.

5. Unfortunately, we cannot promote every script sent to us. We know it’s totally a bummer, but there are many factors at play in our selection of content and categories for release.

Overall Rating
  • Script Shop was amazing! I was very surprised to receive an email from them to be selected for their Halloween Special on their Podcast for my screenplay, "JO". Which can be heard on Sound Cloud:

It was absolutely amazing to hear my screenplay read out loud, evaluated and hear what others thought and how they interpreted the story, the characters and loved how different it was.

Unfortunately, I sooooo nervous talking on-air, I kept stuttering a lot. I was all over the place in answering their questions - but it was fun. I was even surprised they did a promo video of a tarantula crawling over my script!

I highly recommend SCRIPT SHOP for every screenwriter around the world!

Thank you Script Shop and Thank you Film Freeway for having these types of opportunities be available for people like me!

So impressed with them. Professional yet personable. They interviewed my 12-year-old son about his screenplay on their show and made him feel so comfortable that he didn't want it to end. Thank you for what you do!
