INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Your Script Produced! International Film Festival (“Festival”). These Official Rules, Regulations, Terms & Conditions (“Rules”) govern all submissions, participation, screenings, events, competitions, industry meetings, awards, promotions, and related activities associated with the Festival.

By submitting a film, television pilot, documentary, screenplay-related project, or any associated materials to the Festival, each entrant (“Submitter,” “Applicant,” “Filmmaker,” or “Rights Holder”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Rules.

The Festival reserves the right to interpret these Rules and resolve all matters not expressly covered herein in its sole and absolute discretion.
FESTIVAL MISSION & PURPOSE

Your Script Produced! International Film Festival is dedicated to discovering, supporting, showcasing, and advancing independent filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, directors, and content creators from around the world.

The Festival seeks to:
• Highlight exceptional storytelling and cinematic achievement.
• Promote emerging and established filmmakers.
• Create opportunities for production, financing, distribution, and industry exposure.
• Connect writers and filmmakers with producers, investors, distributors, agents, managers, and executives.
• Support innovative feature films, documentaries, shorts, and television pilots.
• Foster professional development and collaboration within the entertainment industry.

The Festival may include screenings, networking events, awards ceremonies, panels, workshops, pitch sessions, live readings, investor events, industry meetings, and educational programming.

FESTIVAL CATEGORIES

The Festival accepts submissions in the following categories:
A. Feature Film
• Narrative feature films.
• Minimum runtime: 80 minutes.
• Maximum runtime: 120 minutes
• Open to all genres / sub genres
B. Documentary Feature or Short
• Documentary storytelling in feature or short format.
• Includes investigative, biographical, historical, educational, and social impact documentaries.
• Open to documentary films covering all subjects and themes.
C. Short Film
• Narrative, experimental, or proof of concept short films.
• Maximum runtime: 39 minutes.
• Open to all genres / sub genres
D. TV Pilot
• Episodic television pilots or proof-of-concept episodes.
• Open to scripted and unscripted television content.
The Festival reserves the right to determine the proper category for all submissions.

Submission fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.
The Festival reserves the right to extend deadlines, reopen submissions, waive fees, or create additional submission windows at its sole discretion.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for consideration:
1. The submitter must own or control all legal rights necessary to submit and exhibit the project.
2. The project must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. The submitter must have secured all music, image, likeness, trademark, screenplay, literary, archival, synchronization, distribution, and other required clearances. All music, footage, trademarks, and intellectual property used in the project must be properly licensed.
4. The Festival may reject projects that contain:
5 Defamatory material
6 Hate speech
7 Illegal content
8 Copyright infringement
9 Unauthorized use of protected materials
10 Content promoting criminal activity
11. Foreign-language films must include English subtitles.
12 All runtime calculations are determined by the Festival.
13 Rough cuts and works-in-progress may be accepted at the Festival’s discretion.
14. The Festival may request proof of rights ownership and legal clearances.
15 Entrants under the age of 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent.

The Festival reserves the right to determine eligibility in its sole discretion.

PREMIERE STATUS & SCREENING POLICIES
The Festival may prioritize projects based on premiere status, including:
• World Premiere
• International Premiere
• North American Premiere
• U.S. Premiere
• Regional Premiere

While premiere status is not mandatory unless specifically announced, the Festival reserves the right to give preference to projects that have not previously screened publicly in the Festival’s geographic region.
Projects that are publicly available online prior to the Festival may remain eligible, but such availability may affect programming consideration.
The Festival reserves the right to request premiere information and screening history.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Entrants must provide the following:
• Completed submission form.
• Secure online screener link.
• Synopsis.
• Runtime.
• Production credits.
• Director biography.
• Poster and promotional materials (if available).
• Trailer (if available).
• Contact information.

The Festival may request additional materials including:

• Dialogue lists.
• Closed captions.
• Press kits.
• Production stills.
• Legal documentation.
• Proof of rights ownership.

Incomplete submissions may be disqualified without refund.
Submitters are responsible for ensuring screener links remain active through the conclusion of the Festival selection process.

JUDGING & SELECTION PROCESS
All submissions are reviewed by Festival programmers, screeners, jurors, advisors, and/or industry professionals selected by the Festival.
Selection criteria may include:
• Storytelling quality
• Cinematography
• Artistic merit
• Direction
• Acting performances
• Technical achievement
• Originality
• Audience appeal
• Production value
• Innovation
• Cultural impact
• Commercial potential

The Festival reserves the right to:

• Reassign submissions to different categories.
• Create additional categories or awards.
• Determine the number of official selections.
• Decline to grant awards in categories with insufficient qualifying entries.
• Invite films outside standard submission procedures.

All decisions by the Festival and its juries are final and not subject to appeal. Projects are evaluated competitively within their respective categories.
The Festival is under no obligation to provide feedback, notes, scoring information, or explanations regarding selection or non-selection.

NOTIFICATION DATES

All submitters will receive notification regarding final decisions on or before:

FESTIVAL EXHIBITIONS

Officially selected projects may be screened during the Festival event taking place:

Selected participants may also receive:

• Audience recognition
• Potential industry introductions

The Festival does not guarantee distribution, financing, sales representation, employment, or commercial success.

OFFICIAL SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
If selected, participants must comply with all Festival requirements, deadlines, promotional and social media announcements, and other elements necessary to achieve a successful screening.

Selected participants may be required to provide:
• Exhibition-quality screening copy.
• Digital Cinema Package (DCP).
• ProRes or other approved digital file format.
• Backup screening materials.
• Promotional/Marketing assets.
• High-resolution artwork
• Trailer
• Updated credits
• Press kit / materials.
• Closed captions or subtitles.

Failure to provide required materials by Festival deadlines may result in removal from the program. The Festival reserves the right to determine final screening formats and technical specifications.

SCREENING & EXHIBITION TERMS
By participating in the Festival, the submitter grants the Festival the non-exclusive right to:
• Screen the project during the Festival.
• Exhibit excerpts for promotional purposes.
• Use trailers, stills, clips, titles, artwork, and promotional materials.
• Present the project in physical venues, digital platforms, virtual screenings, or hybrid festival formats.

The Festival may schedule and reschedule screenings at its discretion.
The Festival does not guarantee:

• Specific screening times.
• Audience attendance.
• Press coverage.
• Distribution opportunities.
• Industry meetings.
• Awards.
• Financial compensation.

While the Festival does not guarantee the above, festival will do its best to provide the above for the screening titles, regardless of category,

The Festival reserves the right to cancel screenings due to technical, logistical, safety, legal, or operational concerns.

RUNTIME GUIDELINES
• Feature: Between 85 Minutes and 120 minutes
• Short film: Under 39 minutes
• TV Pilot: Half hour and one hour format. Under 60 minutes.
• Documentaries: Under 120 minutes.

SUBMISSION RULES
1. All fees are non-refundable.
2. Submission fees will not be waived except at the Festival’s sole discretion.
3. Multiple entries require separate submission forms and fees.
4. Projects may be submitted in multiple categories where applicable, subject to separate fees.
5. Submitters are responsible for ensuring working screener links and passwords.
6. The Festival is not responsible for corrupted files, broken links, or inaccessible materials.
7. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.

RIGHTS & CLEARANCES
The submitter represents and warrants that:
1. They possess all rights necessary to submit the project.
2. The project does not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, publicity, privacy, or other rights.
3. All music and footage are properly licensed.
4. The project complies with union, guild, labor, immigration, and employment laws.
5. The submitter has obtained all required releases and permissions.
6. The entrant has authority to submit the project.

The Festival may request supporting documentation at any time.

• The Festival assumes no responsibility for unauthorized materials included in submitted projects.

• The submitter is solely responsible for all royalties, fees, residuals, licenses, clearances, and payments arising from the project.

LEGAL WARRANTIES & INDEMNIFICATION
The submitter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Festival and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, affiliates, venue partners, jurors, representatives, agents, contractors, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, judgments, expenses, and attorney’s fees arising from:
• Breach of these Rules & contract.
• Copyright infringement.
• Trademark infringement.
• Defamation.
• Unauthorized use of materials.
• Personal injury claims.
• Violations of law.
• Third-party claims.
• Violation of publicity or privacy rights
• Failure to obtain rights, permissions, or clearance.

This indemnification obligation survives the Festival and participation therein. The Festival reserves the right to disqualify any submission involved in legal disputes.

FESTIVAL PROTECTIONS & LIABILITY LIMITATIONS

The Festival is not responsible for:
• Lost, damaged, corrupted, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete submissions.
• Technical failures.
• Internet outages.
• Platform malfunctions.
• Screening interruptions.
• Projection errors.
• Venue issues.
• Theft or damage to submitted materials.
• Unauthorized recordings.
• Acts of third parties.
• Force majeure events.
• Refuse any submission
• Remove any project from consideration
• Reassign categories
• Modify deadlines
• Change venues or dates
• Adjust programming schedules
• Amend rules and regulations
• Cancel or postpone the Festival
• Revoke awards or selections in cases of misconduct, fraud, or rights violations

Participation in the Festival is at the entrant’s sole risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Festival’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount of the submission fee paid.

Under no circumstances shall the Festival be liable for:
• Indirect damages
• Consequential damages
• Lost profits
• Lost business opportunities
• Reputational harm
• Emotional distress
• Punitive damages

The Festival reserves the right to:

• Modify Festival operations.
• Cancel or postpone the Festival.
• Change venues or schedules.
• Convert to virtual or hybrid programming.
• Remove any participant or project.
• Refuse service to any individual.
• Festival decisions are final.

MARKETING, PUBLICITY & PROMOTIONAL RIGHTS
By submitting a project, the submitter grants the Festival the non-exclusive right to use:
• Film clips
• Trailers
• Posters
• Artwork
• Production stills
• Titles
• Logos
• Cast and crew names
• Biographical materials
• Quotes
• Interviews
• film stills
• Promote the project on websites, social media, press releases, streaming promotions, advertisements, and Festival marketing materials
Such use shall be solely for Festival promotional and archival purposes. For promotional, archival, educational, advertising, social media, press, sponsorship, broadcast, livestream, website, and publicity purposes in all media now known or later developed.

The Festival may photograph, record, livestream, or otherwise document Festival events.
Participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, voice, and appearance in Festival-related materials without additional compensation.

SUBMISSION FEE POLICIES
All submission fees are:
• Non-refundable
• Non-transferable
• Non-creditable

The Festival will not provide refunds for:

• Non-selection
• Withdrawal
• Technical issues
• Failure to comply with Rules
• Schedule conflicts
• Duplicate submissions
• Disqualification

Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in disqualification and future submission bans.

DISQUALIFICATION & REMOVAL RIGHTS

The Festival reserves the right to disqualify, reject, remove, or ban any submission or participant for any reason including:
• Violation of Festival Rules.
• Misconduct.
• Fraudulent information.
• Failure to obtain rights.
• Offensive or illegal conduct.
• Harassment.
• Threats.
• Disruptive behavior.
• Non-payment.
• Breach of agreements.
• Public disparagement intended to damage the Festival.

The Festival’s decisions regarding disqualification are final.

CODE OF CONDUCT
All participants, attendees, volunteers, sponsors, press, guests, and industry professionals are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.

The following behaviors are prohibited:
• Harassment
• Discrimination
• Threats
• Abuse
• Violence
• Intimidation
• Stalking
• Retaliation
• Disruptive conduct
• Illegal activity
• Fraudulent submissions

The Festival reserves the right to remove any person from Festival activities without refund or compensation.

Participants must comply with all venue policies, health regulations, security requirements, and applicable laws.

CONFIDENTIALITY & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Festival will take commercially reasonable measures to safeguard submitted materials; however, the Festival does not guarantee confidentiality.

Festival judges, screeners, and programmers may view submissions for evaluation purposes.

While reasonable efforts are being made to maintain confidentiality, the Festival cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality or protection against unauthorized access.
Submitters acknowledge and accept these risks. The submitter acknowledges that:

• Similar ideas or concepts may already exist.
• Festival representatives may independently develop similar projects.
• Submission does not create a confidential relationship.
• Submission does not create a fiduciary relationship.

The Festival assumes no responsibility for unauthorized copying, piracy, or misuse by third parties.

SCREENPLAY & PRODUCTION OPPORTUNITY TERMS
As part of the Your Script Produced! International Film Festival mission, selected projects may be considered for:
• Production opportunities
• Development discussions
• Packaging opportunities
• Investor presentations
• Industry introductions
• Producer meetings
• Distribution discussions
• Mentorship opportunities
• Access to UHHW and Accredited investors

Selection or participation does not guarantee:

• Financing
• Production
• Representation
• Distribution
• Compensation
• Option agreements
• Employment

Any future production, option, acquisition, financing, or business arrangement shall require separate written agreements. The Festival is under no obligation to produce any submitted screenplay, project, or film.

If the Festival or affiliated entities express interest in developing or producing a project, all terms shall be negotiated separately and subject to mutually executed agreements.

FESTIVAL SCHEDULE & EVENT OPERATIONS

Festival programming may include:
• Screenings
• Q&A sessions
• Red carpet events
• Award ceremonies
• Networking receptions
• Panels
• Workshops
• Industry forums
• Investor sessions
• Pitch events
• Live readings

Schedules are subject to change without notice.

The Festival reserves the right to:
• Modify venues.
• Change event formats.
• Adjust programming.
• Limit attendance.
• Restrict access.
• Enforce credential requirements.

Admission may be denied for safety, operational, or compliance reasons.
FORCE MAJEURE

The Festival shall not be liable for any failure or delay resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters
• Fires
• Floods
• Earthquakes
• Severe weather
• Epidemics
• Pandemics
• Government actions
• War
• Terrorism
• Labor disputes
• Power outages
• Venue closures
• Internet disruptions
• Transportation interruptions

The Festival reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, or convert the Festival to a virtual or hybrid event without liability.

ARBITRATION & GOVERNING LAW

These Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Los Angeles, California, USA.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Festival, submissions, participation, or these Rules shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

The parties waive the right to jury trial and participation in class actions.
The prevailing party in any dispute may recover reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.
If any provision of these Rules is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

ACCEPTANCE OF RULES & TERMS
By submitting materials to the Festival, the submitter acknowledges and agrees that:
• They have read and understood all Festival Rules and Regulations.
• They possess full authority to submit the project.
• They accept all Festival decisions as final.
• They release the Festival from liability as permitted herein.
• They agree to comply with all Festival requirements.
• They release the Festival from liability as outlined herein.

Failure to comply with these Rules may result in disqualification.

TYPICAL FESTIVAL PROCESS OVERVIEW

Award winners and selected participants may receive industry exposure, meetings, development opportunities, production consideration, and recognition.

FINAL FESTIVAL RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
The Your Script Produced! International Film Festival reserves the right to:
• Amend these Rules at any time.
• Interpret all Festival policies.
• Resolve disputes in its sole discretion.
• Refuse or revoke participation.
• Protect the Festival’s reputation, operations, programming, sponsors, and affiliated parties.

All matters not expressly addressed herein shall be determined solely by the Festival.
