Everyone is welcome to come to this event. You don't have to be a FilmLocal member. All that's required is that you enjoy filmmaking and are eager to meet others who do as well.

Todd Duncan Studios - Photographer Todd Duncan will be joining us to talk about stills photography, his career, and his upcoming workshop!

Kat Kou Makeup Artistry - Kat Kou will be joining us to talk about being an onset makeup artist as well as her (soon to be announced) SPFX makeup workshop!

Shitty Film Festival - A few representatives will be joining us to talk about their upcoming festival screening on July 13th! Tickets for this event come with both access to the screening and the after party. Trust me; it’s as great as it sounds!

Siblings - John Lewis James | Drama | 7 min:

A Brother and Sister have an argument while hiking in the forest and have to find their way back to safety alone.

The Doctrine - Shane Brar | Thriller | 16 min:

Andrei fights for something that has cost him everything. On a journey for closure and to close this chapter of his life.

Unravel - Evan Luchkow | Drama | 10 min:

Mary lives a lonely and isolated existence, meticulously documenting suspicious activity in the skies. When she connects with a fellow conspiracy theorist, she struggles to open up and reveal her secret: painful and mysterious fibres growing out of her skin. Unravel is a story about conspiracies, romance, and our powerful need to feel connected to the people around us.

Scattered - Ellie Harvie | Comedy | 9 min:

Two women venture into the woods to scatter their friend's ashes and fumble for a way to say good bye.

Audience Choice Award - $200 CAD Cash Prize

Please review the Terms and Conditions on our website, https://FilmLocal.com.

Your film must be under 20 minutes long. We welcome any genre of film. A free ticket is included with your submission. Accepted submissions will receive an invite to do a Q&A at the event. "Official Selection" and "Audience Choice Award Winner" laurels will be given out to the appropriate submitters.

Your film submission is for this event only, it does not count as a submission towards any other FilmLocal events unless specifically noted.

A ballot for the audience choice award will be given to attendees at the end of the final film, they will then be collected and counted with the winner being announced the same day.

    I didn't get a chance to attend the festival I was out of town, wanted to be there but the organizer's of the festival did a great job communicating with me. Highly recommend it.

If you plan to submit, I would definitely recommend attending the screening and networking event to get the most out of your submission.
