La Bête Rousse – Call for Films

PLEASE NOTE: The itinerant cinema of La Bête Rousse is NOT a film festival. It’s a unique experience under a traveling tent where we screen short films. Selection of your film does not grant access to prizes or awards.

ABOUT US:

La Bête Rousse is looking for independent and bold projects for its upcoming screenings.
We set up a 56 m² stretch tent at music festivals and also organize screenings in bars, cafés, cultural venues, and alternative spaces, primarily in France and Belgium. Since 2015, our mission has been to introduce audiences to the creations of the new generation of filmmakers.

WHAT WE OFFER:

- Unique visibility: Selected films are screened between 5 and 15 times per year during our traveling events (about 40 screenings annually).
- A diverse audience: Our screenings attract spectators in festive, cultural, and alternative contexts across France and Brussels.
- A collective tour: By sharing your work, you become part of a journey that shines a light on unconventional and daring films.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

1. Category : one category BUT many kinds accepted as long as your project match the Bête Rousse spirit (past selections here : https://labeterousse.com/les-films-de-la-bete)

2. Notification: If your film is selected, we will inform you about its future screenings.

3. Submission fees:
- Early Bird: 3€
- Regular Deadline: 7€
- Very Late Deadline: 12€

Although no awards are given, your film will gain exceptional exposure to a curious and diverse audience. Our screenings provide a rare opportunity to reach viewers through music festivals, bars, cafés, cultural venues, and alternative spaces across France and Brussels.
