* LIVE SCREENINGS AND A SHORT FILM FUND *
Silver Screen and Kodak have teamed up to create the ultimate celluloid community through screenings, Q&As and networking.
“Kodak are delighted to support Silver Screen and the Film on Film London Screenings. We’re passionate about supporting the industry’s outstanding talent and their creative choices and thrilled to see that so many productions continue to choose to shoot on film.” - Julie Taylor‑Butt (Senior Manager, Marketing and Film Sales, Kodak)
Along with other sponsors (Cinelab, Arri Rental and Company 3) these companies are dedicated to preserving the legacy of analog filmmaking. Founded in 2021, our vision is to unite a community of creatives who share a profound love for film. In partnership with Kodak, our mission is to make this beautiful medium accessible and bring awareness to a wider audience preserving its legacy for generations to come.
We accept any style or genre of short (under 30 minutes), so long as it is shot on film! 8mm/ 16mm/ 35mm or a hybrid with digital.
All six of our screenings thus far have been completely sold-out and a fantastic evening of shorts, filmmaker Q&As and networking.
The eighth edition of our live screenings of shorts shot on film will be held in London at the beginning of December.
---------------
ANALOG SHORT FILM FUND
We know that so many indie filmmakers adore the analog medium, and would love the opportunity to shoot a film in the “traditional” method. Whether it's the grainy aesthetic... the care and artistic process it demands... or whether it's simply a love for where the art of filmmaking began.
Part of our mission here at Silver Screen is to contribute to the revival and continuation of filmmakers’ accessibility to shoot on film. Therefore we are thrilled to have teamed up with Arri Rental, Kodak, Cinelab Film & Digital, Company 3 and The Film Festival Doctor to provide the ultimate analog package for a filmmaking team.
