Terms, and Conditions – Red Rocks AIFF

1. Eligibility • Films submitted to the Red Rocks AI Film Festival ("The Festival") must be original AI generated works.
2. Submitters should provide tools used to create their film.
3. All content (music, video, images) need to be copyright free or have proper royalty free licensing or permissions. Films that infringe on copyright or intellectual property rights are not eligible.
4. Filmmakers must be 18 years or older to submit a film.
5. All AI films made within the last two years are eligible.
6. Films should adhere to The Festival’s specified length requirements (e.g., shorts, short shorts, etc.). Submissions outside the set duration limits may be disqualified.
7.Non-English films must include English subtitles.
8 Submissions ONLY accepted through FilmFreeway.
9. A non-refundable submission fee is required for all films. Filmmakers may submit to multiple categories and with multiple films, each must comply with the terms and conditions.
10. Each film will receive a score form the judging panel, and the highest scoring entries will determine the winners. Judges are selected by the Festival. All judging decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
11. Through submitting, filmmakers grant The Festival a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use submitted films for promotional purposes, including clips or stills, in festival-related materials (e.g., website, marketing, press). Filmmakers retain ownership of their films but grant The Festival the right to screen the film during the event and in related promotional activities.
12. Entrants are responsible for securing all necessary rights for content in their films and must indemnify The Festival against any legal claims related to copyright or ownership disputes.
13. The Festival may use submitted film titles, images, and clips for publicity and promotional purposes.
14. Selected filmmakers may be invited to participate in networking events, press releases, or Q&A sessions. If conducted live the filmmaker is responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
15. All selected films will be notified approximately two weeks before The Festival.
16. The Festival reserves the right to disqualify any film that does not adhere to the rules or contains false information. Submissions deemed to violate The Festival’s guidelines, may be disqualified without further explanation.
17. Personal information collected during submissions will be used for administration and communication related to The Festival. By submitting, filmmakers’ consent to The Festival's use of their data according to its privacy policy.
18. The Festival reserves the right to modify or update these rules at any time. Any amendments will take effect immediately and will be communicated to participants.
