The “T.I. L G.L.A.D F.F.” is an initiative of the non-profit society "SYMPRAXI - Partnership for Gender Issues”, and takes place every year in Thessaloniki.
It is supported by the "Thessaloniki International Film Festival", the Greek Ministry of Culture and Athletics, Embassies, Consulates, Institutes, and LGBTIQ and HIV organizations in Greece.

The “T.I. G.L.A.D. F.F.” provides parallel events: cultural and artistic expression and social dialogue that deal with gender and sexual orientation issues. It discusses the needs and the difficulties people faced because of homophobia, transphobia, and ideological/social hostility.

This festival is a non-profit event. For the festival are working volunteers but also external collaborators. No member of the non-profit organization SYMPRAXI is receiving any financial support for her/his work for the “T.I. L G.L.A.D F.F.”.

An Audience Award is foreseen for the best long and the best short film (narrative or documentary). The amount of the prize is symbolic and depends on the incomes of the festival.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (to be signed by the applying person):

The Festival holds the right to use stills and up to 2 minutes of footage for promotional purposes (TV and/ or Internet).
You aver that you are legally authorized to enter this film in the TI-GLAD-FF. -
The TI-GLAD-FF must be notified in writing of any press or photo restrictions. –
You agree to send the viewing copy as soon as possible. –
The administration of the Festival may postpone the holding of the event for a period of time that it deems appropriate if there are serious reasons that cause restriction or prohibition (gathering of many people, quarantine, malfunction of the screening hall, and other similar events, that are caused by factors not set out by the Festival). Indicatively, but not exclusively, they refer to an epidemic, pandemic, earthquake, fire, which have the effect that the State or the administration of the screening hall imposes restrictions or cancellation of events. Postponing of the Festival is possible if there is a difficulty in its proper operation or if its success is affected.
In such a case, those who submitted their films to the festival for judgment and their possible selection for screening are not entitled to request a refund of the fees paid or to withdraw their films, because already with the submission of a film the judgment expenses and movie editing begins, and these expenses are higher than the paid fees. It's a very small festival, which is running for so many years already. Unfortunately, there were not many guests in the cinema, mostly people from the team, but they were very welcoming and warm-hearted.

    Response from festival:

    Dear Markus,
We are happy that you liked the vibe of our festival. We also have been satisfied because we could find sponsors and invite film directors, you too. About 1/3 of the audience visited our festival also in the past and developed a friendly contact with the organizers, moreover, the organizers are activist. We know that not all people of the audience like to vote for the movies. Regarding your documentary, they were not many (27 persons), but they liked it.
We wish you all the best for your next documentaries.
Dr.c.e. Nikos Hatzitrifon, head of the FF

Excellent festival very well organising and accommodating. My film played to a sold out audience and made some great contacts that help with producing my latest project.
