The Artist's of the New Film Festival celebrates Appalachia filmmaking by showcasing creative and innovative films across the Appalachian region.

We are offering two categories for filmmakers to submit to:
Documentary Short
Narrative Short

Opportunities to purchase tickets to the event will be announced in the coming weeks.

Artist's of the New Film Festival takes place Friday, August 11th, 2023 at the Historic Fayette Theater in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Time of event is TBA.

Awards & Prizes

Winners from each category: Documentary Short and Narrative Short will be awarded:

- $200 cash prize
- Trophy
- Artist's of the New Certificate Award
- Recognition at the event
- Will be announced and listed on Love Hope Art's Center social media pages

Rules & Terms

All submitting filmmakers and film settings must be located or originate from within the Appalachian region, or from one of following states:

Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia.

All films must be less than 30 minutes in length.

All submissions must be made within the submission deadline and pay the appropriate submission fee.

Commercials will not be accepted into the festival.
