Regolamento concorso di cortometraggi
Organizzatori
Stretto Film Festival è organizzato da Icarus Factory con il contributo della Calabria Film Commissioni. La terza edizione si svolgerà a Luglio 2024 a Palmi, in provincia di Reggio Calabria.
A chi è rivolto
La competizione è aperta a cortometraggi provenienti da tutto il mondo, suddivisi in quattro sezioni:
• Nazionale - rivolto a cortometraggi provenienti dall’ITALIA, a tema libero con una durata massima di 20 minuti.
• Internazionale - rivolto a cortometraggi provenienti da tutto il mondo esclusa l’ITALIA con una durata massima di 20 minuti.
• Calabria - rivolto ad autori calabresi o progetti realizzati in Calabria con una durata massima di 20 minuti.
• Animazione - rivolto a cortometraggi di animazione provenienti da tutto il mondo con una durata massima di 20 minuti.
Iscrizione e requisiti di ammissione
1- Le iscrizioni a Stretto Film Festival 2024 aprono il 1 Dicembre 2023 e chiudono il 30
giugno 2024;
2- L’iscrizione avviene esclusivamente on-line tramite il sito
www.filmfreeway.com/StrettoFilmFestival;
3- Al concorso sono ammessi i cortometraggi prodotti dal 1 gennaio 2022 ad oggi; le Opere realizzate prima di questa data non saranno ammesse al concorso;
3.1- Non sono ammesse opere che hanno partecipato alle passate edizioni dello Stretto Film Festival;
3.2- Non sono ammesse opere di propaganda politica, religiosa, di incitamento alla violenza e odio verso qualsiasi etnia, cultura o religione. Inoltre non sono ammesse opere contrarie alle leggi vigenti in Italia e contro i diritti umani.
4- Sono ammesse opere provenienti da tutto il mondo. Al momento dell’iscrizione le opere straniere dovranno obbligatoriamente essere sottotitolate in inglese o italiano; le opere in lingua italiana dovranno essere obbligatoriamente sottotitolate in inglese;
5- Con l’iscrizione l’autore dichiara di essere maggiorenne e di possedere tutti i diritti di utilizzazione economica e visione della propria opera e di tutte le sue parti. Inoltre dichiara che la propria opera è originale e non lede i diritti di terze parti.
In caso di dichiarazione non veritiera, e in caso di rivalse da parte dei reali detentori dei diritti di copyright, gli autori sollevano il Festival e gli organizzatori da qualsivoglia responsabilità legale ed economica, e si impegnano a rispondere interamente delle conseguenze annesse e connesse alla frode;
6- Ciascun Autore può iscrivere più di un’opera, a patto che paghi la rispettiva tassa d’iscrizione;
7- I seguenti file dovranno essere caricati e quindi già presenti sulla piattaforma FilmFreeway al momento dell’iscrizione, abilitando il download. In caso contrario l’opera non sarà presa in considerazione.
– Copia digitale dell’opera in formato .mp4 720p o 1080p, RIGOROSAMENTE RISPONDENTE ALLE CARATTERISTICHE SOTTO RIPORTATE:
*Codifica video: H264
Codifica audio: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)
Risoluzione video MAX: 1920×1080
– Locandina dell’opera A4 verticale, risoluzione minima 300dpi (29.7 x 21 cm / 3508 x 2480 px) in formato JPG o PDF;
– Sinossi dell’opera di minimo 200 / massimo 350 caratteri (non parole) **;
* Qualora tali condizioni non venissero soddisfatte, il Festival si riserva il diritto di escludere l’opera dal concorso, oppure di ricodificare il video per renderlo conforme ai parametri indicati. In quest’ultimo caso, gli autori non avranno diritto alcuno ad esporre qualsivoglia rimostranza, anche in caso di perdita di qualità audio/video o alterazioni di tavolozza colori, spettro cromatico etc.
** Il Festival si riserva il diritto di modificare le sinossi qualora siano state redatte in un lessico incomprensibile e/o grammaticalmente scorretto.
Si ricorda inoltre di compilare accuratamente al momento dell’iscrizione la scheda tecnica dell’opera, indicando i rispettivi ruoli e nomi come segue: Regia, Soggetto, Sceneggiatura, Fotografia, Montaggio, Montaggio Sonoro, Colonna Sonora, Trucco, Scenografia, Attore e Attrice Protagonista e Non Protagonista;
Nota: È unicamente Vostra responsabilità assicurarsi di avere compilato correttamente i dati richiesti e che i file necessari non presentino malfunzionamenti.
8- Con l’iscrizione al concorso, si concede al Festival di usare le proprie opere e il materiale che verrà richiesto a fini pubblicitari, mediatici e di promozione, oltre all’autorizzazione a proiettare l’opera durante le giornate dell’evento.
9- L’autore si impegna a fornire un indirizzo email valido e funzionante, al quale saranno inviate tutte le comunicazioni in merito. In caso di opere iscritte da società di distribuzione festivaliera, è necessario fornire al momento dell’iscrizione il contatto email dell’autore.
E’ Vostra responsabilità contattare gli organizzatori all’indirizzo strettofilmfestival@yahoo.com per qualsiasi dubbio prima di candidare la sua opera alla 3a edizione.
Ammissione al concorso
10- Le opere candidate verranno valutate inizialmente da una commissione tecnica per certificare il possesso dei requisiti richiesti dal regolamento; L’iscrizione non implica di fatto la selezione dell’opera alla 3a edizione.
10.1- Le selezioni ufficiali verranno annunciate il 30 Giugno 2024.
10.2- In seguito le opere saranno valutate da una giuria esterna composta da professionisti del settore che decreterà i vincitori delle varie categorie secondo il loro insindacabile giudizio.
Esclusioni
La direzione del Festival si riserva il diritto di rifiutare le opere nel caso si verificassero le seguenti situazioni:
– Mancata idoneità ai requisiti di ammissione previsti dal regolamento; file richiesti non pervenuti nei tempi stabiliti, informazioni errate o mancanti.
– Contenuti contrari alle leggi vigenti in Italia, incitamento all’odio verso qualsiasi cultura, etnia, religione e/o offensivi nei confronti dei diritti umani. Inoltre non saranno ammesse opere di palese propaganda politica e/o religiosa.
– Ogni tentativo di ottenere informazioni sugli esiti finali del concorso prima dell’annuncio finale che avverrà durante la serata di premiazione e/o la divulgazione di informazioni fuorvianti in merito alla propria partecipazione, sarà punito con la squalifica dell’opera e la tassa di iscrizione non verrà rimborsata.
Qualora la vostra opera non sia selezionata per il concorso, la tassa d’iscrizione non sarà rimborsata.
Nel caso il Festival decidesse, a proprio insindacabile giudizio, di proiettare opere fuori concorso, gli autori delle medesime dovranno accettare IN TOTO le clausole indicate in questo Regolamento.

STRETTO FILM FESTIVAL - Ciy of Palmi - III Edition - 2024
Short film contest rules
Organizers: Stretto Film Festival is organized by Icarus Factory with the contribution of the Calabria Film Commissions. The second edition will take place in July 2024 in Palmi, in the province of Reggio Calabria.
Who it is for: The competition is open to short films from all over the world, divided in four sections:
National - aimed at short films from ITALY, on any theme with a maximum duration of 20 minutes.
International - aimed at short films from all over the world excluding ITALY with a maximum duration of 20 minutes.
Calabria - addressed to Calabrian authors or projects realized in Calabria with a maximum duration of 20 minutes.
Animation - aimed at animated short films from around the world with a maximum duration of 20 minutes.
Registration and admission requirements
1- Registrations for Stretto Film Festival 2024 open on December 1st 2023 and close on
June 30th 2024;
2- Registration takes place exclusively online via the website
www.filmfreeway.com/StrettoFilmFestival;
3- Short films produced from 1 January 2022 to today are admitted to the competition; Works created before this date will not be admitted to the competition;
3.1- Works that have participated in past editions of the Stretto Film Festival are not admitted;
3.2- Works of political or religious propaganda, incitement to violence and hatred towards any ethnic group, culture or religion are not permitted. Furthermore, works contrary to the laws in force in Italy and against human rights are not admitted.
4- Works from all over the world are admitted. At the time of registration, foreign works must necessarily be subtitled in English or Italian; works in Italian must be subtitled in English;
5- By registering, the author declares to be of age and to possess all the rights of economic use and vision of his work and of all its parts. Furthermore, he declares that his work is original and does not infringe the rights of third parties.
In the event of an untruthful declaration, and in the event of recourse by the actual copyright holders, the authors relieve the Festival and the organizers of any legal and economic liability, and undertake to fully answer for the consequences connected to the fraud ;
6- Each Author can enter more than one work, provided that he pays the respective entry fee;
7- The following files must be uploaded and therefore already present on the FilmFreeway platform at the time of registration, enabling the download. Otherwise, the work will not be considered.
– Digital copy of the work in .mp4 720p or 1080p format,
STRICTLY RESPONDING TO THE FEATURES BELOW:
*Video Encoding: H264
Audio Encoding: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)
MAX Video Resolution: 1920×1080
– A4 vertical poster of the work, minimum resolution 300dpi (29.7 x 21 cm / 3508 x 2480 px) in JPG or PDF format;
– Synopsis of the work of minimum 200 / maximum 350 characters (non-words) **;
* If these conditions are not met, the Festival reserves the right to exclude the work from the competition, or to re-encode the video to make it compliant with the indicated parameters. In the latter case, the authors will have no right to make any complaint, even in the event of loss of audio/video quality or alterations of the color palette, chromatic spectrum, etc.
** The Festival reserves the right to modify the synopses if they have been written in an incomprehensible and/or grammatically incorrect lexicon.
Also remember to carefully fill in the technical sheet of the work when registering, indicating the respective roles and names as follows: Direction, Subject, Screenplay, Photography, Editing, Sound Editing, Soundtrack, Make-up, Set Design, Actor and Actress Protagonist and Supporting Actor;
Note: It is solely your responsibility to ensure that you have filled in the required data correctly and that the required files do not malfunction.
8- By registering for the competition, you allow the Festival to use your works and the material that will be requested for advertising, media and promotional purposes, as well as the authorization to project the work during the days of the event.
9- The author undertakes to provide a valid and functioning email address, to which all related communications will be sent. In the case of works entered by festival distribution companies, it is necessary to provide the author's email contact at the time of registration.
It is your responsibility to contact the organizers at strettofilmfestival@yahoo.com for any doubts before submitting your work for the 3nd edition.
Admission to the competition
10- The candidate works will be initially evaluated by a technical commission to certify that they meet the requirements set out in the regulation; Registration does not in fact imply selection of the work for the 2nd edition.
10.1- The official selections will be announced on June 30, 2024.
10.2- The works will then be evaluated by an external jury made up of industry professionals who will decide the winners of the various categories according to their unquestionable judgement.
The awarding of the prizes will take place during the final evening of the festival on July 2024.
Exclusions
The Festival management reserves the right to refuse the works in the event of the following situations:
– Failure to meet the admission requirements set out in the regulation; requested files not received on time, incorrect or missing information.
– Content contrary to the laws in force in Italy, incitement to hatred against any culture, ethnicity, religion and/or offensive to human rights. Furthermore, works of obvious political and/or religious propaganda will not be admitted.
– Any attempt to obtain information on the final results of the competition before the final announcement that will take place during the awards evening and/or the dissemination of misleading information regarding one's participation, will be punished with the disqualification of the work and the registration fee will not be refunded.
If your work is not selected for the competition, the entry fee will not be refunded.
If the Festival decides, at its sole discretion, to screen works out of competition, the authors of the same must FULLY accept the clauses indicated in these Regulations.
