Since its creation in 2012, our event aims to promote and defend independent cinema from all over the world.
Our 8th edition will held from 15-21 Octobre, 2019.

Olivier Assayas, Yorgos Lanthimos, Mia Hansen-Løve, Arnaud Desplechin, Jean-Pierre Léaud, Abel Ferrara, Nathalie Baye, Céline Sciamma, Abdellatif Kechiche, Virginie Despentes, Jonathan Caouette, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Corneliu Porumboiu, Denis Côté are some of the guests who were welcomed during our past edition.

Submissions for the Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival (FIFIB) are now open. The 8th edition will take place in Bordeaux, France, from 15-21 October 2019.

ELIGIBILITY

Films must be submitted via streaming link.
Films that are not in French or English must be submitted with English or French subtitles.
Work-in-progress copies can be submitted on the condition that the film is completed by the festival.
Films should not have been distributed in France or online before the festival dates.

INTERNATIONAL FEATURE COMPETITION
The International Competition consists of feature length films from all over the world.

Entries must
- be at least 60 minutes long
- have been produced in 2018 or 2019.

FRENCH FEATURE COMPETITION
The French Competition is composed of feature length films from France.

Entries must
- be at least 30 minutes long
- have been produced in 2018 or 2019.

FRANCOPHONE SHORT FILMS COMPETITION
The Francophone Short Films Competition consists of shorts produced in French speaking countries or by directors from francophone countries.

Entries must
- be at under 30 minutes long
- have been produced in 2018 or 2019.

CONTREBANDES
The Contrebandes selection consists of films with no set time limit

Entries
- should not have received regional, film school or CNC production support (except those which received post-production or residency support). Films which were produced with materials from a film school but outside the course are eligible
- should not have been distributed in France
