Esta es una convocatoria oficial para el FDCLA-Norte que se llevará acabo de forma presencial en octubre de 2026. Buscamos proyectos innovadores, originales, que se identifiquen con la comunidad latina y latinoamericana. Toda obra sometida al festival debe ser nueva, o sea, no puede haber sido antes exhibida por televisión o en el cine. Además, no debe estar disponible en línea.
(a) Todo proyecto recibido será evaluado por un comité seleccionador. Éste tendrá la responsabilidad de elegir los proyectos que se programarán los tres días del festival. FDCLA-Norte no paga por la exhibición de proyectos. FDCLA-Norte se reserva el derecho de exhibir más de una vez a los proyectos seleccionados durante las fechas del festival.
(b) Cualquier largometraje o cortometraje en español o portugués deberá contar con subtítulos en inglés, y cualquier obra en inglés debe contar con subtítulos en español. En el caso de una obra en idioma indígena, el cineasta debe proveer subtítulos en español y /o inglés. No se aceptarán obras incompletas. No se aceptarán obras después de la fecha límite.
(c) No se requiere su asistencia al festival para que su obra sea exhibida.
(d) Como cineasta, usted se hace responsable por obtener cualquier derecho, licencia, permiso y / o papeleo necesario para presentar su obra al festival. El FDCLA-Norte no se hace responsable por cualquier demanda, queja, o violación de derechos reservados o créditos relacionado a su obra.
(e) SOLO SE ACEPTARÁN OBRAS A TRAVÉS DE ESTE SITIO WEB: FILMFREEWAY.COM
Puesto que el comité recibe una gran cantidad de obras a través de FilmFreeway, no podremos responder a sus preguntas antes de la selección final. En el caso de que su obra sea seleccionada, se le notificará de inmediato via correo electrónico. El mensaje contendrá indicaciones para el envío de su KIT DE PRENSA y COPIA DE EXHIBICIÓN.
(f) FDCLA-Norte no tiene la capacidad de reembolsar ningún monto cobrado por la inscripción de su obra. FDCLA-Norte se reserva el derecho a descalificar cualquier obra enviada, sea porque ésta se envíe después de la fecha límite, no sea elegible, no esté completa, cambio de estatus y / o falta de permisos, además de otros posibles motivos.

This is an official call for submissions to the FDCLA-Norte, which will be held in person in October 2026. We seek innovative, original projects, identified with the Latino and/or Latin American community. All films submitted for consideration must be new; they cannot have been featured on television or in theaters. They must not be available online.
(a) All entries will be pre-screened for eligibility by a selection committee, however, not all entries will be scheduled.
(b) Entrants are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, and permits necessary to present their work. FDCLA-Norte is not responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, or royalty infringement related to the work.
(c) Films must be in Spanish or Portuguese and have English subtitles or be in English and have Spanish subtitles. In the event of the use of an Indigenous language, subtitles in English must be provided.
(d) ONLY submissions via FilmFreeway will be accepted. No late submissions past the late deadline will be accepted.
(e) A filmmaker is not required to attend the festival for their work to be accepted. If your film is accepted to the festival, we will notify you via email with instructions for press materials and exhibition copies.
(f) FDCLA-Norte does not have the capacity to reimburse any fees associated with the submission process. FDCLA-Norte reserves the right to disqualify a submission, without refund of any kind, for any number of reasons, including a film's change of eligibility status post-submission. Short Films are films 30 minutes or less.
