Honoring the memory and cultural impact of media educator Micah Greene, our film festival is part of the June 28-30 2024 "PUG Fest 2" in Ferndale Michigan.

Semi-Finalists for the categories below will be screened twice (June 28 & 29) with a June 30th screening of finalists and presentation of awards.

We'll take 5 minute-max submissions covering key areas that were important to Micah and his many devoted students in the entertainment and arts industries--including music videos, short films, mini-docs and public service awareness messaging.

Trophies and special gift packages will be awarded following the screening of our category finalists on June 30th.

Rules & Terms

- Open to residents of the midwest & bands performing at PUG Fest 2
- 5 minute suggested time length (Note: Judges must watch 5 min but may choose to watch longer submissions)
- Content must be original
- Copyright songs/images must have documented evidence of permission that must be submitted with entries.
- Finalists will be chosen by judges first then screened over the festival's three days in public venues--Day 1 will be the semi-finalist reel with Q&A / Discussion. Day 2 will be the semi-finalist reel's encore screening without talk-back. Day 3 will be the finalists and awards.
- Jury prizes will be awarded on the final day of the festival as well as Audience-Choice awards.
