An international screening stage for independent cinemas, Bangkok Movie Awards, BMA is now celebrated as one of the most prestigious Asian Film Festivals in the recent decades.
Here, the culture of Thai filmmaking combines with the world’s contemporary forms of storytelling in every genre. By conducting LIVE screenings, Annual Gala events, interactive sessions, workshops, and film festivals in Bangkok, we’re giving a stage to independent filmmakers to showcase their talents to the world and nurture their filmmaking abilities by learning from some legendary film personalities.

At this Film Festival in Bangkok, the Thai capital one trend likely to continue shaping the future of world cinema is the growth of independent and art-house films. Many times, budding filmmakers need help showcasing their cinemas due to a lack of distribution channels for indie cinemas—Bangkok Movie Awards facilities as their very own film carnival from every aspect possible.

Awards & Prizes

At the Bangkok Movie Awards, BMA, we accept projects in every genre of cinematic creations on any topic and language from every country worldwide. Our team proudly spotlights first-time filmmakers’ low-budget Narratives, Documentary Features, and Script Breakout Features from accomplished filmmakers, Short Films across genres, and episodes.

BMA’s Monthly Competitions are the official entrances to the most awaited Gala. The Winner(s) of these competitions will see themselves competing for the prestigious Golden Elephant Award.

Rules & Terms

•At the Bangkok Movie Awards, multiple entries are allowed for a single competition.
•Submissions in languages other than English must be subtitled in English. The subtitles must be embedded in the film.
•Submitting an Entry does not confirm any achievements, Official Selection, Award Triumph, or Festival Laurel.
•A filmmaker can re-submit an Entry after competing in any month’s contest.
•If necessary, the Bangkok Movie Awards, BMA reserves the right to refuse any entry/submission from the competition.
•As per the norms, all entry fees are non-refundable.
•The BMA may amend these rules and regulations without prior notice, and every such amendment will be effective immediately.

    Thank you so much for taking the time to read my short story " Shut Up, I'm Grown" and for this incredible honor. I was a little hesitant about submitting it at first because comedy can be interpreted differently across cultures. Still, I wanted to keep the story simple and universal so that audiences from different backgrounds could connect with it and enjoy it.
