COVID 19 UPDATE

NOV 2020 Update. Dear Filmmakers. Thank you for your understanding during these challenging times. We are comitted to acknowledging the absolute biest in action indie films and will be announcing all nominations for each catergory on NOV 26.

Dear filmmakers. Despite our best efforts and continued hard work to bring a live awards show and showcase, it is with regret that we have to announce that the awards show and showcase will be cancelled this year due to the Stage 4 lock down laws enforced on the state of Victoria during the pandemic. These lock downs include the closure of businesses, including our intended venue at Lido Cinemas which have informed us that they cannot accommodate us at this time. We understand this is a challenging time for everyone but we are working on announcing our monthly winners and annual nominees for each award in the hopes of having an online showcase later this year. Further details will be sent out to each filmmaker who has entered our awards season.

International Action Film Awards is a monthly film festival which aims to celebrate and recognise the best Martial Arts and Action Films from around the globe. The Action and Martial Arts Genre is often overlooked in the film award world despite it being one of the most popular, one of the important reasons why we decided to start these awards.

Our mission is to promote and celebrate independent filmmakers of Action films from across the globe. We are filmmakers and TV and Film industry professionals and along with our panel of expert judges we take film-making seriously and we love Action films! We produce Action films so we understand the challenges and the process it takes to make an Action film come to life. We want to promote and celebrate the directors, the incredible performers, martial artists, stunt coordinators and fight choreographers that work so hard to bring these films to life.

Each month, our jury of industry experts will award the best films through private screenings. A best of Fest event will take place in the following year where we will award the best films of the year!

International Action Film Awards have an exclusive partnership with online blog and review platform Film Combat Syndicate. Each month, the official selections, and winners will receive coverage and/or filmmaker interviews. This is of great benefit to filmmakers as it falls in line with our mission to get these films noticed and the filmmakers into the spotlight. The site gains over 130,000 unique views and is sure to boost projects and filmmakers amongst the action lovers around the world!
