BMORE HORROR FEST — OFFICIAL SUBMISSION RULES
Festival Date: October 24, 2025
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Submission Deadline: July 31, 2025
ELIGIBILITY
Genre Requirement: Submissions must be horror or horror-adjacent (suspense, thriller, sci-fi horror, dark fantasy, surreal, experimental, etc.).
Length: Films must be between 5 and 7 minutes in total runtime.
Language: All languages accepted, subtitles encouraged.
Previous Screenings: We accept both previously screened and premiere works, but preference may be given to local debuts.
FORMATS
Submissions should be provided in .MP4 or .MOV format via a downloadable link (Google Drive, Vimeo, Dropbox, etc.)
Finalists will be asked to submit high-resolution versions for screening
Vertical/TikTok-style films are allowed, but landscape is strongly preferred for in-person viewing
Artificial Intelligence: No AI films will be accepted.
CONTENT + RIGHTS
Ownership: You must own the rights to your work and all associated content (music, footage, etc.)
Violent or Graphic Content: Gore, violence, and disturbing imagery are welcome within reason — content promoting real-world harm, hate, or abuse will not be tolerated.
Copyright: No unlicensed media may be used.
Local Love: Films made in Baltimore or by Baltimore-based creators are highly encouraged.

Free — because we believe in accessible horror! (But donations are welcome 👻)
SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Selected films will be notified via email by July 31th, 2025
A curated lineup will be screened at our live event in Baltimore on October 24 and 25th
Winners of our festival superlatives will be announced the night of the event.
