1.0 General Submission Requirements
1.1 Films are eligible for the Firm Film Festival competitions if they meet the following criteria:
• Feature Films: Runtime of over 30 minutes.
• Short Films: Runtime of under 30 minutes.
• Films of any nationality and production year are accepted.
• Works in any language are accepted. For the selection process, if the original language is not Spanish, the film must include English or Spanish subtitles. If the film is selected for public screening, providing a copy with Spanish subtitles will be mandatory.
• Valladolid Short Film Category: The director must have been born or be a resident in Valladolid, or the short film must have been entirely or partially shot in the city/province of Valladolid.
• AI-Generated Short Film Category: The work must integrate the use of Artificial Intelligence tools in a significant part of its visual and sound creation.
1.2 Fees and Submission
• Submission fees are non-refundable.
• Submissions must be made by completing the online form on the platform. Printed versions or additional physical documentation are neither required nor accepted.
• Screenings for the selection process will be conducted via the submission platform.
2.0 Competitions and Awards
2.1 The official selection and the Firm Film Festival awards will be decided by a selection committee and a professional jury appointed by the organisation.

3.0 Selection and Screenings
3.1 If your film is selected, the Festival will notify the primary contact provided during submission. Upon confirmation, the official Firm Film Festival laurels will be sent to you in digital format for promotional purposes.
3.2 In order to promote the selected works and the festival itself, the organisation is authorised to use film stills or short clips (less than 10% of the total duration, up to a maximum of 3 minutes) in media and social networks nationally and internationally.
3.3 The Festival reserves the right to screen the selected films during the event dates without paying screening fees.
3.4 The general programming, dates, and schedules of the public screenings are at the sole discretion of the Festival management.
4.0 Acceptance and Legal Matters
4.1 Submission to the Festival implies full acceptance of these rules and terms.
4.2 The management and board of the Firm Film Festival reserve the right to make decisions regarding any unforeseen circumstances not covered in these rules, as well as to make justified exceptions. The final decision of the jury is unappealable.
4.3 The participant declares and guarantees that they hold all intellectual property, exhibition, and distribution rights for the submitted work, indemnifying the Firm Film Festival against any legal liability or claims from third parties.

1.0 Requisitos generales de participación
1.1 Las obras son elegibles para las competiciones del Firm Film Festival si cumplen los siguientes criterios:
• Largometrajes: Duración superior a 30 minutos.
• Cortometrajes: Duración inferior a 30 minutos.
• Se aceptan películas de cualquier nacionalidad y año de producción.
• Se aceptan obras en cualquier idioma. Para el proceso de selección, si el idioma original no es el español, la película debe incluir subtítulos en inglés o español. Si la película resulta seleccionada para su proyección pública, será obligatorio facilitar una copia con subtítulos en español.
• Categoría Cortometraje de Valladolid: El director/a debe haber nacido o ser residente en Valladolid, o bien el cortometraje debe haber sido rodado total o parcialmente en la ciudad/provincia de Valladolid.
• Categoría Cortometraje Generado con IA: La obra debe integrar el uso de herramientas de Inteligencia Artificial en una parte significativa de su creación visual y sonora.
1.2 Cuotas e Inscripción
• Las cuotas de inscripción no son reembolsables.
• La inscripción debe realizarse cumplimentando el formulario online de la plataforma. No se requiere ni se acepta el envío de versiones impresas ni documentación física adicional.
• El visionado se hará a través de la plataforma de inscripción.
2.0 Competiciones y Premios
2.1 La selección oficial y el palmarés del Firm Film Festival serán decididos por un comité de selección y un jurado profesional designados por la organización.
2.2 Las categorías de premios de esta edición son las siguientes:

3.0 Selección y Proyecciones
3.1 Si su película es seleccionada, el Festival se lo notificará al contacto principal facilitado en la inscripción. Tras la confirmación, se le enviarán los laureles oficiales del Firm Film Festival en formato digital para fines promocionales.
3.2 Con el objetivo de promocionar las obras seleccionadas y el propio festival, la organización está autorizada a utilizar fotogramas o breves fragmentos de las películas (menos del 10% de la duración total y con un máximo de 3 minutos) en medios de comunicación y redes sociales a nivel nacional e internacional.
3.3 El Festival se reserva el derecho de proyectar las películas seleccionadas durante las fechas del certamen sin el pago de cuotas de proyección.
3.4 La programación general, las fechas y los horarios de las proyecciones públicas son competencia exclusiva de la dirección del Festival.
4.0 Aceptación y Legalidad
4.1 La inscripción en el Festival implica la aceptación total de estas bases.
4.2 La dirección y el consejo del Firm Film Festival se reservan el derecho de tomar decisiones sobre cualquier imprevisto no recogido en estas bases, así como de realizar excepciones justificadas. La decisión final del jurado es inapelable.
4.3 El participante declara y garantiza que posee todos los derechos de propiedad intelectual, exhibición y distribución de la obra inscrita, eximiendo al Firm Film Festival de cualquier responsabilidad legal o reclamación frente a terceros.
