Last year marked the inaugural TORONTO NXT FILM FEST. Our mission is to showcase new, innovation, and unique visions in independent cinema. Discovering new voices.
The festival will showcase independent filmmakers making their Toronto premieres; and a section dedicated to discovering the brightest emerging voices in storytelling. Competitive sections for feature-length fiction films; a diverse selection of documentary films from around the world; selected to showcase break-out global talent.
We are inspired by Toronto, a city of abundant creativity, it stands as the largest media market in Canada, and boasts the world-renowned Royal Ontario Museum, the massive Art Gallery of Ontario, the Soulpepper Theatre Company, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
