Do you often find yourself immersed in this world? Almost everything you experience somehow finds itself into your projects. Have you ever wondered what would it feel like if this was not only your passion but also your profession?

Mood Indigo ‘17 aims to provide you with the first stepping stone.

1st Prize: 25000 INR/382.92 USD
2nd Prize: 15000 INR/229.75 USD
3rd Prize: 10000 INR/153.17 USD

The Top 3 winners will have their films screened at the prestigious Jaipur International Film Festival in January 2018.

The short films will be awarded by Indian Film History under 'IFH Digital Awards' in the following nine categories:

1 Best Film
2 Best Director
3 Best Cinematographer
4 Best Actor Male
5.Best Actor Female
6.Best Editor
7.Best Story
8.Best Dialogue
9.Best Music

Team Size: At most 12 in the core team(No particular limit for actors in the film)

Rounds: Online Eliminations and Finals

Eliminations:
Time Limit: 3-10 minutes (Including credits)
Theme: There is no theme in this round.
Deadline for submission: November 1, 2017

Finals:
Finalists will have to make a new short film on a given theme.
Time Limit: 5-15 minutes (Including credits and everything)
Theme: To be revealed after eliminations
Deadline for submission: To be declared!

Judging Criteria:
Editing, Cinematography, Script (originality), Acting, Sound effects, overall impact, Relevance to theme(final round)

General Rules:

-The movie should be in Hindi or English or both. If you choose to make a film in Hindi, it must contain English subtitles. For finals, subtitles are mandatory for movies of both languages. No other languages will be allowed.
-Please note that Mood Indigo will not be responsible for postal delays, losses or damages. - Make sure you send in the entries sufficiently before the deadline. You may use any video camera you deem suitable for shooting the movie. However, we strongly discourage low-resolution cameras, including webcams and mobile-phone cameras.
-Entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe third-party's rights.
-The content of the movie should be appropriate for public screening and thus have no vulgarity.
-Obscenity (at the discretion of the judges) of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
-Please avoid photo animation, slideshows, remixes, spoofs and advertisements.
-Please note that the teams for the elimination rounds and the finals must be the same. No new addition of members will be entertained.
-Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Sound tracks (no max time limit) and stock footage (time limit : max of 1 min 30 seconds) can be borrowed, but with due credits.
-Teams qualifying for the finals will be asked to submit the scanned copy of their college ID cards along with their photos and their MI numbers.
-The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

About Submission:
Completed movies (accompanied by the name of the college and the MI numbers and details of team members along with their role in the making of the movie) must be submitted in .mpeg or .avi or .mp4 formats only in one of the following ways.

Emailing to directorscut@moodi.org with subject of the email to be “Director’s Cut: MI-XXX-YYY / File”

Uploading the video on www.youtube.com or any other such website and emailing the link to directorscut@moodi.org with subject of the email to be “Director’s Cut: MI-XXX-YYY / Link”
