For the Fall 2024 'Mystery Suspense Thriller of North America', much gratitude for the nomination of "Discredit". I appreciate being placed among contemporary filmed titles that are now on my watchlist. I feel lucky to have discovered your festival because it's accessible to a wide-range of categories welcoming many creative souls. Even as a nomination, enthralled to be part of the ALTFF spirit!

  • As a first time filmmaker such as myself, this is a 5/5 experience.
Was honored a wonderful nomination for best first time filmmaker. Thank you for the organisers & judges.

My debut feature, "PAPER PLATES," won the category of Best Comedy, and nominated for Best Drama and Best Cast, as well. While that's all very nice and well, there's no point in making a movie if it's not going to be seen by people. It seems odd to me that the best of each category (at least a broader selection) isn't shown. Despite this "festival" being held so often, getting hundreds of submissions in, just to rent a cafe to screen 10 movies for what could be a paltry crowd seems suspect to me.
