Quirky, weird, unique, super crazy and passionate about filmmaking. Director of currently twenty short films and reaching for flirty thirty. Being selected in over 100+ official film festivals, winner of twenty-seven awards on films that have a special “Sagmeister” touch. Films that include HAM JAM (official selection at the Long Island International Film Expo), CALLMEISTER (official selection at the San Francisco’s Frozen Film Festival), HIS GOOD WIFE (nineteen official selections), SELFIES FEVER (fifteen official selections), CHRISTMAS SHIT (San Francisco Another Hole in the Head film festival), ADDICTION, BI ME, SUGARBUG, I HEART DOLORES, LOVES ME LOVES ME NOT, GOOD FOR ONE FREE HUG, LOST TRACK, MY GIFT, SANTA GIRL, and THE TALE OF HIDE & SHRIEK.
Sage studied filmmaking at the College of San Mateo, his instructor was Jay Rosenblatt. Learned about cinematography and editing but after film production class he decided to become a self-taught filmmaker (Stanley Kubrick and Richard Linklater) and found it far much more fulfilling. Reading library books on films, history, produced screenplays, and appreciation from college libraries such as UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University, and becoming a San Francisco freelancer of photography and videography of weddings, special events, indie music videos, documentaries, narratives, live performances, and so on. Still insists he is still learning his craft and being a know it all is “boring.”
Always entertaining and searching for truth and originality as possible, focusing on female-centered stories (and feels strongly we don’t have enough it).
