Director Biography - Sage Drake

Studied filmmaking at the College of San Mateo. The film instructor was Academy Award-nominated Jay Rosenblatt.

Freelance photographer/videographer/editor San Francisco Bay Area and covered weddings, special events, live performances, indie music videos, etc.

Credited on two documentary feature films for director Kevin Mukherji including "We Are One" and "Tail Dragger."

Directed over thirty short films including "Our Shot," "The Fate of a Bird," and "Our Last Time Together." Winner over 55 awards.

"My Empathy" is a feature film directorial debut and winner Best Documentary Feature at the Zepstone International Film and Music Festival.

Director Statement

We have films about global warming and quite possibly endless films about Donald Trump. But one thing I have noticed and other people haven't been noticing is the lack of empathy. I feel if we don't start having empathy our planet will be destroyed from the lack of empathy. Not having empathy on our only planet is the key to our very existence. It's my burning hope with my film I can change hearts and make people more kinder, empathic, and loving.
