Dave Paull was born in Boston and grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where he graduated from Lewis & Clark college with a degree in English literature. After a career in radio news reporting he has ventured into DIY filmmaking.

Fun fact: Dave initiated in-depth interviews with Academy Award winners Ernest Borgnine and William Hurt. Yaphet Kotto revealed some surprises during Dave's on-camera interview with the ALIEN actor.
In a bizarre twist, one of Dave's crew - the camera guy - refused to turn over the raw footage of WORDSPEAKER for editing. Three months went by before Dave travelled out of town to the mortuary where the guy worked to retrieve the video. He meekly turned it over, saying he had been spooked by the lead actor in the Sci-Fi film. The DV video had been kept locked in the glove box of a hearse.
