Director Statement

Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone TV program was my Bible for writing growing up. I want WORDSPEAKER audiences to be absorbed into this dystopian world as they try to figure it out. The trailer distills the film's sense of fear and isolation.

This is a black and white film, which shows stark contrasts in a world full of destruction that suddenly reverts to color. That's when a fast-paced photo montage illustrates the history of life on earth, including warfare through the centuries. We are left with images of mankind reduced to mere survival, using broken car bodies as wagons pulled by horses.

The actor is Clyde Lewis, a nationally syndicated radio talk show host. Clyde had cancer and was due for surgery within a few days after shooting WORDSPEAKER, which could have been his last acting role.

"Your fascination growing up with The Twilight Zone really shows. I loved the way you left it to the viewer's imagination." Special kudos for the editing. which is often the key to great films."
