Dünyada bulunan mülteci sayısı BM 2017 istatistiklerine göre 65,3 milyon; kitlesel sürgüne uğrayan insanların yalnızca %12’si ABD’de, %6’sı Avrupa’da ve %82’ si ise Afrika, Ortadoğu ve Güneydoğu Asya’da yaşıyor.
According to UN 2017 statistics, the number of refugees in the world is 65.3 million; only 12% of the mass exiles live in the US, 6% in Europe and 82% in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Dünyamızda savaş, ekonomik ve iklim krizi gibi nedenlerle insanlığın kaderini sonsuza kadar etkileyecek bir göç durumu yaşanıyor. Katlanarak artan oranlarda her yıl milyonlarca insan topraklarını, yurtlarını terk etmek ve daha güvenli gördükleri yerlere göç etmek zorunda kalıyorlar. Sorunun büyüklüğü ve yıkıcılığı ne yazık ki kendilerini “evin sahibi” olarak görenler tarafından; Savaşı çıkaranlara değil, bu savaşların doğal sonucu olarak kendilerini bir anda mülteci konumunda bulanlara mal ediliyor. Oysaki bir yandan görmezden geldiğimiz diğer bir yandan da yaşantımıza, işimize ve güvenliğimize yönelik birer tehdit olarak gördüğümüz mülteciler hepimize şunu hatırlatmalı: Bizler de bir gün evimizden, yurdumuzdan ayrılmak zorunda kalabiliriz!
In our world, there is an immigration situation that will forever affect the destiny of humanity due to reasons such as war, economic and climate crisis. Millions of people are forced to leave their lands and homes and migrate to places they see safer every year. The magnitude and destructiveness of the problem is unfortunately not attributed by the people see themselves as homeowners to those who starts the war, but to those who find themselves suddenly as refugees as a natural consequence of these wars. However, the refugees who we ignore and who we see as threats to our lives, work and security should remind us all: We may have to leave our home one day!
Halkların Köprüsü Derneği olarak, Türkiye’de ve dünyada yaşayan mültecilerin yaşamlarına bu yıl da sinema aracılığı ile dikkat çekmek istiyoruz. Bu amaçla 14-18 Nisan 2020 tarihleri arasında Uluslararası Mülteci Film Festivali’nin ikincisini düzenleyeceğiz. Fransız Kültür Merkezi’nde gerçekleştireceğimiz festivalde mülteciler tarafından çekilmiş ya da mülteciliği odağına almış olan kurmaca ve belgesel dallarında filmlere yer vereceğiz. Festivalimizde uzun metrajlı filmlerin yanı sıra kısa filmler de gösterim olanağı bulacak.
As the Association of Bridging Peoples, we want to attract attention to the lives of refugees who live in Turkey and in the world this year again. For this purpose, we will organize the second Izmir International Refugee Film Festival between 14-18 April 2020. At the festival which will be held at the French Institute, we will feature films in the fictional and documentary branches shot by refugees or focused on refugees. In addition to feature films, short films will also be screened at our festival.
Sizleri, gündelik yaşamın içinde bazen görünmez olan mültecilerin hikayelerinin tanığı olmaya davet ediyoruz. Bu hikayeler aslında hepimizin hikayesi!
We invite you to be a witness to the stories of refugees who are sometimes invisible in everyday life. These stories are actually all of us!
Please note that the movies which is not in Turkish language have to have English subtitle to complete the application.
