A really cool new festival. The communication with Sick Chicks was really smooth and complimentary. The line up of films selected was really impressive and programmed well in themed blocks. We weren't able to attend in person, so I can't comment on the networking and hospitality at the event itself, but the marketing and networking online was positive, and I read lots of good feedback and we felt part of a filmmaker family. We'll be sure to submit again.

We are grateful and thrilled to have been included in the Sick Chick Flicks Film Festival. The festival was fun, and very well organized with interesting programming. The festival Director, Christine, reached out to us all with local accommodation information, and to set up a meet and greet. Christine and everyone at the festival was absolutely wonderful. We had a great time, and hope to return. I cannot recommend this festival enough. Sick Chick Flicks FF rocks!

Everything about the Sick Chick Flicks Film Festival really is bloody brilliant - from the films and the filmmakers, the programming and the programmers, even from the opening announcements down to the awards themselves, and it's all done with such cinematic sincerity that completely belies the fact that this was their very first year!

One of the best things about this festival is that while it focuses on female filmmakers, it doesn’t limit the programming exclusively to one gender or the other, but rather, includes one of THE BEST well-rounded worldwide line-up of horror/thriller/sci-fi shorts that I’ve been lucky enough to see, let alone be an official screening selection as well.

It's this keen insight, as well as the lovable leadership and focus of Christine Parker and the Sick Chick Flicks team that has turned what could have ended up as a simple local film fest into a cinematic summit of international acclaim. Having worked the film festival circuit with their own award-winning movie magic for several years, they've been able to get a first-hand glimpse at what works and what doesn't, both for the film festival and the filmmakers. This experience has let them create an amazing fun film festival in a gorgeous venue that just goes to show, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the movie-making males ALWAYS have something to learn from their sick chick colleagues/collaborators!

Add this festival to your list of top festivals, because it deserves your attention. It's well worth the affordable submission fee, if you're lucky enough to get accepted and attend. The Sick Chick Flicks Film Festival... just submit already. You'll be glad that you did... trust me!
