The "FABRIQUE DU CINEMA AWARDS" will award two important prizes:
900 euros gross for the Best Italian Short Film
900 euros gross for the Best International Short Film.
Moreover, the two winners will be interviewed by the Fabrique Du Cinéma magazine! With a circulation of 10,000 copies, the magazine is distributed in various European Film Festivals.

For six years now, Fabrique Du Cinéma has been discovering and promoting young talent in direction, acting, recognised by budding and established filmmakers alike, who have all been supporting Fabrique du Cinéma since its foundation.

Fabrique Du Cinéma is also the only italian magazine that focuses on new cinema. The pages of our magazine have told the story of Icons like Francesco Rosi, the Taviani Brothers, Marco Bellocchio, Dario Argento and Matteo Garrone, as well as that of emerging italian artists, such as Gabriele Mainetti, Matteo Rovere, Piero Messina, Fabio Mollo and many others.

Fabrique du Cinéma Awards promotes a Creativity and Experimentation Award, discovering new talents from Italy and from around the world. Filmmakers are invited to submit pieces, showing their spirit of a relentless pursuit of creativity and innovation.

The jury of the event is composed by international cinematographic artists. After Willem Dafoe (2017) and Paul Haggis (2018-19), in 2020 Fabrique Awards is honored to have Matt Dillon as President of the Jury.

I was really happy when I learn that my film SWAP was Finalist, but to my surprise, they told me that they don't present any film.
It is a bit sad that film festival don't present films, not even the winning one. So we cannot exchange or make any contact with people. Most of directors are like me looking to develop their craft or their project with producers or distributors. So it's not really a goop place to send your film.

  • An amazing organization with a team of super multi-talented members that make the prestigious 'Fabrique du Cinema' Awards all worth the while. We reached out to them with some questions that we had and they responded back immediately. Very helpful. Last year the President of the Jury was William Dafoe and this year was led by master screenwriter and director Paul Haggis. Unfortunately, we were not able to attend the awards event but if we had, we're positive that we would've had the best experience of a lifetime. However, we were very fortunate to have our short script nominated this year and it was a true honor to have been selected to the competition. A high recommend of five stars. *****

Fabrique Du Cinema Awards stands out among many other events, along with the magazine Fabrique Du Cinema, as a paradigm of professionalism, cinema know-how and search of excellence. They truly are motivated by the idea of promoting, encouraging, helping new talent to make their work better known. Their influence and acceptance in the Italian film world is undeniable when you witness how their award ceremony gathers together more than 500 people. The Teatro India in 2018 was crammed with 300 people, and still there were 200 more guests watching the ceremony outside in the hall of the cultural center on a 5x2 mts screen. Among that great crowd were rising as well as well-established Italian cinema stars -actors, producers, cinematographers, directors. The international jury of the awards is impressive, and just being finalists is a privilege if you know they select for each category 4 films out of 1300 submitted out of 61 countries. Thank you for existing and for doing this extraordinary work!
