# An IMDb Qualifying Festival

Welcome to the WRPN Women's International Film Festival, celebrating films made by women or addressing issues affecting women. WWIFF is a sister festival to the Depth of Field International Film Festival, a FilmFreeway "Top 100 Reviewed" festival alumnus.

## Distribution Opportunities

Our festival network has connected hundreds of films and screenplays with four established distributors who have signed contracts with dozens of our filmmakers. These companies don't accept unsolicited submissions—top WWIFF award winners gain exclusive access to our private distributor review group at no additional cost.

**Partner Distributors:**
- Worldwide Motion Pictures Corporation (WWMPC.COM)
- Adler & Associates
- CCS Releasing
- Cardinal XD
- Polaris Pictures (Rhodium Screenplay winners)

*Note: We facilitate introductions only. Distribution decisions rest solely with each company.*

## Constructive Feedback Guarantee

Every submission receives value:
- **Competition-ready films** earn Official Selection status
- **Films needing refinement** receive detailed feedback identifying specific areas for improvement, plus free re-entry after edits

This feedback helps strengthen your work for WWIFF and other festivals.

## What Makes WWIFF Different

**Hybrid Format:** Live screenings for Best of Festival winners in Rehoboth Beach, DE, combined with virtual competition judging. Our screening events capture authentic audience reactions that inform distributor decisions.

**WRPN.tv Exposure:** Award winners may be featured on our streaming platform, reaching viewers in 80+ countries—exposure most independent filmmakers can't access independently.

**Industry Credentials:** Our founders serve as Committee Members for the Universal Film and Festival Organization (UFFO.ORG), and WRPN.tv is a member of the Film Festival Alliance.

**Student-Friendly:** Flat $40 fee for all student submissions, regardless of deadline.

**Diverse Categories:** Art-house, Alternate Media, LGBT, Webisode, Horror, Sci-fi, Tight Shorts, Loose Shorts, Dust Collector (pre-2009 films), and 13+ additional categories.

**Sub-Category Recognition:** Awards available for cinematography, score, original concept, direction, SFX, acting, and more.

## Selection Process

Official Selection means your work has passed our rigorous review committee and advances to our awarding judges, not that it will screen. Only Best of Festival winners screen at our live event, where we gather audience feedback for distributor consideration.

The festival reserves the right to adjust program dates and times. Screening requires the timely delivery of all materials and theater technical approval.

## Eligibility & Submission Guidelines

**Gender Inclusivity:** While WWIFF centers female voices, we welcome films directed or produced by men when:
- One or more key production roles (cinematographer, producer, writer, editor, etc.) are held by self-identifying females
- The film features a strong female presence on screen
- The subject matter addresses significant women's issues

**Language Requirements:** Non-English submissions must include subtitles or dubbing.

## Rights & Promotional Use

By submitting, you grant WWIFF rights to use excerpts from accepted films for promotional purposes. Clips from winning entries may be streamed on WWIFF.COM and WRPN.TV.

The submitter warrants they are authorized to enter the film and accept all festival requirements and regulations.

## Category Submission Rules

**Official Selection Listing:** Your film appears on the official selection list only when submitted to one of the 20 major (full-price) categories. Films submitted solely to production value sub-categories or at reduced rates will not be publicly listed.

**Sub-Category Judging:** Entering sub-categories doesn't guarantee selection or award. Films submitted only to sub-categories (without a major category entry) may be rejected if judges find the submitted sub-category lacking merit, regardless of the film's overall quality. Conversely, judges may award sub-category honors you didn't enter if they identify exceptional achievement.

## Independent Evaluation System

Every film receives individual attention without direct comparison to other entries. Our judges evaluate each submission on its unique merits using a performance-based scoring system. Your story, creativity, and vision are assessed in isolation when it's your turn to be reviewed.

## Award Structure

Films are recognized across multiple levels:
- Best of Festival (one production, any category)
- Best of Show (top-scoring entries per season/genre)
- Awards of Excellence (two levels)
- Awards of Merit (two levels)
- Kudos Endeavor Award
- No award

## Live Screening Details

**Best of Festival winners only** are screened at our Rehoboth Beach, DE venue. These events capture authentic audience reactions for distributor consideration—not networking events or seminars. Audience video interviews may be conducted and featured on WRPN.tv.

**Attendance Disclaimer:** Attendance levels fluctuate independently of marketing initiatives undertaken by the cinema or our organization. Should a scheduled film fail to draw an audience, management reserves the right to cancel the screening.

**Technical Requirements:** Winners must provide a DCP for theatrical presentation and submit all deliverables on time.

**Filmmaker Rights & Compensation:** By accepting live screening, you grant WWIFF unrestricted permission to screen your film and charge admission. Box office proceeds are retained by the festival to offset operational costs. Filmmakers do not receive box office revenue.

**Cancellation Policy:** If a Best of Festival winner declines to screen, fails to submit required materials, or doesn't respond to requests, we may cancel the live screening while honoring the award itself.

The festival reserves the right to modify program dates and times.

## Refund Policy

- **Before Official Selection:** Full refund upon withdrawal
- **After Official Selection:** No refunds
- All judges (selection and awarding) are compensated professionals, not volunteers

The festival reserves the right to refuse entries without waivers.

## Indemnification

The submitter shall indemnify and hold harmless WRPN WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, WRPN.TV, and ROMAN PICTURES from all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, or damage to submitted materials.
