My "Smoke and Mirrors" screenplay was a semi-finalist at the 2021 Los Angeles Crime and Horror Film Festival. My "Fate's Intervention" screenplay was an Official Selection at the January 2022 Los Angeles CineFest Film Festival. Both screenplays are based on my novels of the same name respectfully (under my pen name Ronald Lamont). My "Smoke and Mirrors" novel was nominated for the CLUE Mystery & Suspense award for 2019. My "Fate's Intervention" novella was a semi-finalist for the 2020 CLUE Award for novellas / novelettes. I am currently penning a screenplay based on my novel "Post-Mortem Narrative," which is a follow-up to "Smoke and Mirrors." The novel was nominated for the 2020 CLUE Award. My screenwriting also includes a teleplay. My short story "Life's Reflections - A Fateful Weekend" was a semi-finalist for the CHAUCER Historical Fiction award for short stories. Next on my agenda is to write a short film script based on the short story. In my pre-writing career I performed federal "possible incident" investigations. I utilize these techniques in my writings. I also recently collaborated with screenwriter James C. Wolf on a Private Investigator novel based on one of his screenplay ideas. James C. Wolf has written (and received awards) for several screenplays, including both short films and full-length features. "The Virtuoso" starring Anthony Hopkins, Anson Mount, and Abby Cornish is his latest film.
