- Categories and Selection -
• All short films completed from January 1, 2021 onwards in any genre can be entered.
• The theme is free.
• The competing categories are:
1. Fiction Short Film.
2. Animation Short Film.
3. Experimental Short Film.
4. Documentary Short Film.
5. Music video clip.
6. Series for web and tv.
• In addition to the categories in competition, there will be a sample of feature films, where the following categories are contemplated:
1. Fiction Feature Film.
2. Documentary Feature Film.
3. Animation feature film.
• Only feature films will be accepted in any of the following cases:
a) That it be Opera prima, that is, that it be the first feature film of the director presenting the work.
b) That it is Premiere, that is to say that the material has not been screened in other festivals, film clubs, commercial or public rooms.
- About Registration -
1. Commercial or propaganda works will not be accepted.
2. The official selection will be determined by the organizing committee of Tlanchana Fest in conjunction with the Department of Programming and Content and will be published prior to the start of the festival.
3. When uploading any work to any of the platforms, the digital file on these sites must be filled out in a mandatory way to be considered.
4. The person or group that uploads a work to any of the platforms must put the name of the director (s) or filmmaker (s), since this will be considered as a participating filmmaker (s).
5. For films that do not meet the requirements of the following regulation (not completing the registration form on the chosen platform or not making the corresponding payment), their registration to the Festival will not be considered valid.
6. Tlanchana Fest is not responsible for any type of problem that may arise with any of the platforms.
7. The people who make the registration will be considered as authors of the work, as well as owners of the intellectual and moral rights of the same, counting and granting the corresponding projection permits from the beginning of the festival until 6 months later. (Informing them of the use of the material, after the dates of the festival).
8. Once the registration of each work is concluded, these cannot be withdrawn from the competition under any circumstances.
9. The participating filmmakers, filmmakers and distributors demarcate Tlanchana Cultura Audiovisual A.C. of any copyright claim that may arise with respect to the films by third parties.
10. The films received will be evaluated by the organizing committee and by the Festival's programming department, their decision being final.
11. The chosen films will be notified via email prior to the publication of the official selection, where the Festival laurels are attached for the promotion of each film. In the same way, they will be informed about the steps to continue with the participation process.
12. Only three accreditations will be awarded per production team for each film. TLANCHANA FEST WILL NOT PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION, FOOD, OR LODGING IN ANY CASE.
13. Participation in the Festival implies that the director (s) have read, understood and fully accepted the bases of this call.
- About the works.-
1. Within the Festival there will be the exhibition of audiovisual material of all kinds and themes, as long as it fits into any of the categories stipulated in this call. Participation is open to jobs from anywhere in the world.
2. There is no limit to the number of works registered (with their respective submission) per director, producer or distributor, however, each of the works must complete the Registration on the platform that they wish to use, as well as respect the indications in these regulations. and convocation.
3. Each of the works must be registered in a single category.
4. Any disrespect to any of these points will mean the disqualification of the work.
5. Short Films (Animation, Documentary, Fiction, Experimental) must have a maximum duration of 25 minutes including credits, to be considered within the competition.
6. Feature Films must last a minimum of 60 minutes.
7. Video clips may have a duration of up to 6 minutes.
8. The video clip category only includes original songs.
9. For the Series category, the sending of the pilot chapter will be required, which may have a duration of a maximum of 60 minutes.
10. The Series category only contemplates new production series, made from January 1, 2021 to date, whether they have been completed or are in the production process. The selected series will have the opportunity to participate in one of the alternative activities of Tlanchana Fest, called Co-Working, Creative Collaboration Space, therefore, the presence of at least one of the members of its production will be necessary.
11. Participants must have the rights to the music, lyrics and image of their productions.
12. In the event that the audiovisual material exceeds the established time, the material may be selected to be exhibited but may not enter the competition.
13. All films must be in Spanish, or have subtitles in this language and in English. Those that do not meet this condition will not be considered.
14. The Programming and Content Department of this Festival will establish the dates and times for the exhibition of each selected film.
15. All the selected films will be preserved by the committee as part of the Festival's filmographic heritage.
16. Tlanchana Fest will not pay for the exhibition rights of the participating material.
17. An honorable mention will be given in each category by the Qualifying Jury, if it so decides.
18. Once the films have been selected, the filmmakers will have a period of one week to rectify data.
19. After the festival, the content of the corresponding edition will be roamed, where the winning works and honorable mentions of the jury will be screened in various parts of the state and the republic. All, non-profit or collection of some type of fee for attendees and establishments.
- Exhibitions¬ -
1. All the films entered will be shortlisted; Those that meet the aforementioned requirements and meet the quality criteria established by the Festival's organizing committee for their exhibition, will be integrated into a traveling exhibition and will be exhibited free of charge at cultural points and digital platforms, as determined by the organizing committee. .
2. The screenings will be carried out in person (both outdoors and indoors) and virtually (on digital projection platforms, selected by the organizing committee) with prior programming and their respective dissemination. .
3. The dates, times, places and assigned digital platforms will be announced on our social networks and our website.
4. The works that, due to their technical or quality limitations, do not enter the Tlanchana Fest exhibition, will be disqualified and will not be able to compete in any category or be exhibited during the festival.
5. Any participant who does not comply with any of the participation requirements or shows inappropriate behavior, will be disqualified.
6. During the festival, the short films that are within the official selection will be screened, as well as those that are part of the 2022 sample despite not being competing for an award.
7. The scheduling department will adjust scheduling blocks and schedules as deemed appropriate.
- Terms.-
Tlanchana Fest, Film and Digital Art Festival, held in the State of Mexico, Mexico, will at all times acknowledge the authorship of him or the participants who have made the registered works. By presenting the films participating in Tlanchana Fest, the author (s) consciously, legally and without limitation authorize said event to publicly display their material, whether in cinemas, public spaces, television, digital platforms, among other applicable ones, during the period covered by each edition of the Festival and up to 6 months later with prior notice. Likewise, you authorize the copying of said material in the formats required for the aforementioned purposes.
Any document that endorses the aforementioned must be signed by the participant in the event that it is required by Tlanchana Fest, this, applying both for the film material and for the printed material, as well as for all those materials received by the Festival.
No work, including its graphic material, will be used for profit, however, it may be used for promotional purposes before, during and after the Festival.
Any situation not foreseen in this call will be resolved by the organizing committee of this Festival.
Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of these Regulations.
Tlanchana Fest will obtain a temporary and NOT exclusive distribution license for the short films that are winners or obtain a special mention within the Festival to be included in a compilation of short films.

Categorías y Selección.
• Se podrán inscribir todos los cortometrajes terminados desde el primero de enero de 2021 en adelante en cualquier género.
• La temática es libre.
• Las categorías en competencia son:
1. Cortometraje Ficción.
2. Cortometraje de Animación.
3. Cortometraje Experimental.
4. Cortometraje Documental.
5. Videoclip musical.
6. Serie para web y tv.
• Además de las categorías en competencia, se realizará una muestra de largometrajes, donde se contemplan las siguientes categorías:
1. Largometraje Ficción.
2. Largometraje Documental.
3. Largometraje Animación.
• Únicamente serán aceptados los largometrajes en alguno de los siguientes casos:
a) Que sea Ópera prima, es decir, que sea el primer largometraje del director que presenta la obra.
b) Que sea Estreno, es decir que el material no haya sido proyectado en otros festivales, cineclubes, salas comerciales o públicas.
Sobre la Inscripción
1. No se aceptarán trabajos comerciales o con fines propagandísticos.
2. La selección oficial será determinada por el comité organizador de Tlanchana Fest en conjunto con el Departamento de Programación y Contenido y se publicará de manera previa al inicio del festival.
3. Al subir algún trabajo a cualquiera de las plataformas se deberá llenar la ficha digital en estos sitios de manera obligatoria para ser considerados.
4. La persona o colectivo que suba un trabajo a cualquiera de las plataformas deberá colocar el nombre del director(es) o realizador(es), ya que éste será considerado como realizador(es) participante(s).
5. Para las películas que no cumplan con los requerimientos del siguiente reglamento (No completando la ficha de inscripción en la plataforma elegida o no haciendo el pago correspondiente), no se considerará válida su inscripción al Festival.
6. Tlanchana Fest no se hace responsable de ningún tipo de problema que pueda presentarse con cualquiera de las plataformas.
7. Las personas que concreten la inscripción serán consideradas como autores de la obra, así como dueños de los derechos intelectuales y morales de la misma, contando y otorgando los permisos correspondientes de proyección desde el comienzo del festival hasta 6 meses posteriores. (Informándoles del uso del material, posterior a las fechas del festival).
8. Una vez concluida la inscripción de cada trabajo, estos no podrán ser retirados de la competencia bajo ninguna circunstancia.
9. Los cineastas, realizadores y distribuidores participantes, deslindan a Tlanchana Cultura Audiovisual A.C. de cualquier reclamo de derechos de autor que pueda suscitarse respecto a las películas por parte de terceros.
10. Las películas recibidas serán evaluadas por el comité organizador y por el departamento de programación del Festival, siendo inapelable su decisión.
11. Las películas elegidas serán notificadas vía correo electrónico previo a la publicación de la selección oficial, donde se adjuntan los laureles del Festival para la promoción de cada cinta. De igual manera, se les darán a conocer los pasos para continuar con el proceso de participación.
12. Únicamente se otorgarán tres acreditaciones por equipo de producción de cada película. TLANCHANA FEST NO PROPORCIONARÁ TRANSPORTE, ALIMENTACIÓN, NI HOSPEDAJE EN NINGÚN CASO.
13. La participación en el Festival implica que el (los) realizador(es) ha(n) leído, entendido y aceptado en su totalidad las bases de la presente convocatoria.
Sobre los trabajos.
1. Dentro del Festival se contará con la exhibición de material audiovisual de todo género y temática, siempre que se adecúe a alguna de las categorías estipuladas en la presente convocatoria. La participación está abierta a trabajos de cualquier parte del mundo.
2. No existe un límite de obras inscritas (con su respectivo envío) por realizador, productor o distribuidor, sin embargo, cada una de las obras deberá completar la Inscripción en la plataforma que desee utilizar, así como respetar las indicaciones presentes en este reglamento y convocatoria.
3. Cada uno de los trabajos deberá inscribirse en una sola categoría.
4. Cualquier desacato a alguno de estos puntos significará la descalificación del trabajo.
5. Los Cortometrajes (Animación, Documental, Ficción, Experimental) deberán tener una duración máxima de 25 minutos incluyendo créditos, para ser considerados dentro de la competencia.
6. Los Largometrajes deberán durar un mínimo de 60 minutos.
7. Los Videoclips podrán tener una duración de hasta 6 minutos.
8. La categoría de videoclip contempla únicamente canciones originales.
9. Para la categoría Serie se requerirá el envío del capítulo piloto, el cual podrá tener una duración de un máximo de 60 minutos.
10. La categoría Serie contempla únicamente series de nueva producción, realizadas del 01 de enero de 2021 a la fecha, ya sea que hayan sido finalizadas o se encuentren en proceso de producción. Las series seleccionadas tendrán la oportunidad de participar en una de las actividades alternas de Tlanchana Fest, denominada Co-Working, Espacio de Colaboración Creativa, por lo cual, será necesaria la presencia de al menos uno de los miembros de su producción.
11. Los participantes deberán contar con los derechos sobre la música, letra e imagen de sus producciones.
12. En el caso de que el material audiovisual exceda el tiempo establecido, el material podrá ser seleccionado para ser exhibido pero no podrá entrar en competencia.
13. Todas las películas deberán estar en español, o contar con el subtitulaje en este idioma y en el idioma inglés. Aquellas que no cumplan con esta condición, no serán consideradas.
14. El Departamento de Programación y Contenido de este Festival establecerá las fechas y horarios de exhibición de cada película seleccionada.
15. Todas las películas seleccionadas serán conservadas por el comité como parte del acervo filmográfico del Festival.
16. Tlanchana Fest no pagará por los derechos de exhibición del material participante.
17. Se dará una mención honorífica en cada categoría por parte del Jurado Calificador, si este así lo decide.
18. Una vez seleccionadas las películas, los realizadores contarán con un plazo de una semana para rectificar datos.
19. Posterior a la realización del festival, se llevará a cabo la itinerancia del contenido de la edición correspondiente, donde los trabajos ganadores y menciones honoríficas del jurado serán proyectadas en diversos puntos del estado y de la república. Todas, sin ánimo de lucro o cobro de algún tipo de cuota para asistentes y establecimientos.
Exhibiciones.
1. Todos los filmes inscritos serán preseleccionados; los que cumplan con los requisitos antes mencionados y reúnan los criterios de calidad establecidos por el comité organizador del Festival para su exhibición, se integrarán en una muestra itinerante y se exhibirán de forma gratuita en los puntos culturales y plataformas digitales, que el comité organizador determine.
2. Las proyecciones se llevarán a cabo,de manera presencial, (tanto al aire libre, como en sitios cerrados) y de manera virtual, (en plataformas digitales de proyección, seleccionadas por el comité organizador) con una previa programación y su respectiva difusión.
3. Las fechas, horarios, lugares y plataformas digitales asignadas, se darán a conocer en nuestras redes sociales y nuestra página web.
4. Los trabajos que, por sus limitaciones técnicas o de calidad, no entren en la muestra de Tlanchana Fest, serán descalificados y no podrán competir en ninguna categoría ni ser exhibidos durante el festival.
5. Todo participante que no cumpla con cualquiera de los requisitos de participación o muestre conductas inapropiadas, será descalificado.
6. Durante el festival se exhibirán los cortometrajes que estén dentro de la selección oficial, así como aquellos que sean parte de la muestra 2022 pese a no estar compitiendo por un premio.
7. El departamento de programación ajustará los horarios y bloques de programación según lo considere apropiado
Términos.
Tlanchana Fest, Festival de Cine y Arte Digital, celebrado en el Estado de México, México, en todo momento reconocerá la autoría de él o los participantes que hayan realizado los trabajos inscritos. Al presentar las películas participantes en Tlanchana Fest, el o los autores autorizan de forma consciente, legal y sin limitación alguna, que dicho evento exhiba públicamente su material, ya sea en salas cinematográficas, espacios públicos, televisión, plataformas digitales, entre otros aplicables, durante el período abarcado por cada edición del Festival y hasta 6 meses después con previo aviso. Asimismo, autoriza copiar dicho material en los formatos que se requieran para los fines antes mencionados.
Todo documento que avale lo anteriormente señalado, deberá ser firmado por el participante en caso de que así sea requerido por Tlanchana Fest, ello, aplicando tanto para el material fílmico como para el impreso, así como para todos aquellos materiales recibidos por el Festival.
Ningún trabajo, incluyendo su material gráfico, será utilizado con fines de lucro, no obstante, podrá ser usado con fines de promoción previo, durante y posterior al Festival.
Toda situación no prevista en esta convocatoria será resuelta por el comité organizador de este Festival.
La participación en el Festival implica la aceptación del presente Reglamento.
Tlanchana Fest obtendrá una licencia de distribución temporal y NO exclusiva de los cortometrajes que resulten ganadores u obtengan una mención especial dentro del Festival para ser incluidos en una compilación de cortometrajes.
