Hailing from Hanover Sophie is an inspiring, multi-award-winning German screenwriter who is largely self-taught. 

The social filmmaker always strives to empower others in her adopted home of Spain since the 1980s to follow their path.

Over 15 years, she built a vibrant community within the film industry at the Mallorca Evolution Film Festival.

During the 2020 lockdown, she learned screenwriting techniques, 

Her journey into the industry truly took off in 2021 when her first pitch deck won her the Pitch Forum award. 

The following year, 2022, she secured first prize for her debut screenplay.

2023, she was honored with an award for her feature screenplay in Barcelona.

In 2024, Sophie dared to embark on her directorial debut with a short film—leading her in 2025 all the way to Hollywood.
There, her team celebrated the world premiere at the historic Chinese Theatre.

Adding to her creative work, she wrote the lyrics for the song CIALT, composed by renowned Spanish maestro Simarro, which was released on Spotify in 2026.

Among her favorite scripts is a heartfelt holiday romantic comedy she wrote herself—though she did not produce it.

Her versatile work spans multiple genres, and she is currently developing a mini-documentary series about established artists.

In November 2025, Sophie launched her first monthly film-table in Madrid, which quickly gained popularity, leading to a waiting list.

Future projects include an eagerly awaited feature film with an American director—details of which she prefers to keep under wraps for now.

In her free time, Sophie enjoys watercolor painting, photography, and reading stories aloud to her two granddaughters, with a third on the way.

Sophie has been involved in the arts since childhood.
She started with poetry and oil painting in the late 1980s in Bellas Artes in Madrid.
