Unforeseen Christmas
Logline:
Christmas, at a snowy ski resort, a humble fir tree salesman and a fortune heir defy social norms and form a love as enduring as art.
SYNOPSIS:
Love blossoms with a bang between two thirty-something gay men. Sam, a charming country bumpkin, fears he's just a holiday fling for Dom, and the social stigmas of Dom's celebrity friends don't make it easy for him. Dom learns about Sam's modest life in the mountains, where power cuts and limited internet reception are the norm. Still, he outsmarts the New York Interlectual. On Christmas Eve, dressed as Santa Claus and hired by Dom's father to deliver presents to Dom's family, Sam unexpectedly proposes to the distinguished heir, who has a reputation as a womanizer, in front of the assembled family. Dom's sister guarantees the gifted woodcarver a ground-breaking exhibition of his woodcarving skills, and Dom's father, the feared chairman, displays his hidden side by agreeing to the proposal.

For Woman Screenwriter
Sophie is a German late-blooming, totally autodidact scriptwriter who won the 2022 Evolution Mallorca Film Festival with her debut feature script. In 2023, she was a twice finalist with her two scripts and became a month before an Award winner in Barcelona.
Based in Madrid, she started in the pandemic and has already written multiple scripts. Flickers Rhode Island Int. FF placed her this summer as a Semi-Finalist. Her favourite genres are romance drama and romantic comedy. She is also branching out her first short horror. Her dream is to get her first script produced in her lifetime.
Her writing is based on long life experiences, her kind of film school. Sophie also treasures reading to her two little granddaughters.
I've always been captivated by the magic of Christmas films, and this project allowed me to combine that love with my first foray into a romantic comedy. Opting for a queer narrative, I take immense pleasure in bringing to life the poignant journey of my dual male cast as they rekindle their almost lost love.
