The Skyfire Environmental Film Festival is designed as a three-day event, March 27-28-29,2026, that blends powerful storytelling with community engagement to spark environmental action.

Submissions must explore critical climate issues or highlight community-led solutions. Our mission is to amplify the voices of filmmakers as they spark awareness and inspire the collective action needed to protect our planet.

Truly unique in format and function, Skyfire connects filmmakers with audiences in three major cities across the Phoenix, Arizona Valley, over a weekend filled with film, seminars, and events that spark action.

Dedicated to impacting the future of the planet and the film industry, we offer opportunities in multiple youth divisions and a pitch event for film funding.

Rules & Terms

This is an environmental-themed festival. Please submit only films that fit within the theme. Examples include recycling, eco-activism, environmental awareness, wildlife conservation, pollution, agriculture, or climate change.

The Skyfire Environmental Film Festival is on a mission to bring people together. We encourage filmmakers to attend and take part in our organized actions during the festival
public transit partnerships, zero-waste initiatives, and service projects.

    Skyfire, the Cannes of Environmental Film Festivals! Our film "Maji" was an Official Selection in this inaugural year, and we cannot sing the praises of this event more. Canary Canard Studios seeks out festivals like Skyfire. If you are a filmmaker with a message, they will give you a platform and MEGAPHONE to Speak Truth to POWER.
