Young creatives! We want to see things from your Point of View!
Submit your films and be a part of a local film awards night run BY and FOR young South Aussie filmmakers.

We’re accepting short films of all genres (comedy, drama, music video, documentary…) from South Australian filmmakers aged 12-17 that show us something from your point of view - however you’d like to interpret it! We want to hear what you’re passionate about, see new innovations, experience new stories, gasp, laugh, cry!

With support from the City of Marion, Carclew, The Marion Youth Collective Committee & Holly Winter Films, we’re hoping to create a platform for you to share and be acknowledged for the films you’re making.

We're for young people, and run by young people, and our panel of judges are all local emerging filmmakers themselves (judges to be announced closer to the date).

Our range of trophy, cash & voucher prizes sponsored by the Marion Youth Collective Committee, Carclew, Adelaide Film Festival Youth, Clarice Would Like A Word, Star Avenue Studios, Holly Winter Films and the City of Marion.

In order to be considered, all submissions must strictly:

1) Have been made by filmmakers aged 12 - 17 years old at the time of making the film, and submitted to the correct age category (Assistance by a teacher / mentor is allowed, but the lead filmmakers should be 17 or younger).

2) Be from South Australia (films can be made elsewhere, but the main filmmaker should reside in South Australia).

3) Have been created no earlier than 2024.

4) Be a maximum length of 7 mins (including titles & credits)

5) Be an equivalent rating of PG or lower - suitable for a youth audience aged 17 and under. Any potentially troubling subject matter needs to be mentioned in the film’s description.
(We do not accept explicit material or films that intentionally encourages excessive violence, profanity, drug/alcohol use, or sexual themes and reserve the right to exclude film submissions that include these things.)

6) Have original music or appropriate permission to use the music included

7) Have the permission of everyone involved to submit and screen the film

8) Where possible, include English subtitles on your film for accessibility.
